The No. 15 Georgia softball team (40-16, 12-12) will head to the SEC Tournament this week as the eight seed, as the Bulldogs’ first game will be on Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET against ninth-seeded Ole Miss.
 
 
The game will air on SEC Network while IMG will provide audio broadcast for the game. To listen to the game, fans can go to channel 218 on Sirius, channel 190 on XM or use the Tunein app. The internet audio will only work on Internet Explorer. Reserved tickets are sold out, but a limited number of standing-room tickets can be purchased on game day at the ticket office for $7 (adults) and $5 (youth).

LAST TIME OUT: ALABAMA
Georgia closed out the regular season on a high note, taking game three at No. 4 Alabama to avoid the series sweep. After squandering a late lead in game two, the Bulldogs held on to it in the series finale, winning 9-5 after posting 12 hits off of three Crimson Tide pitchers.

Five Bulldogs had two hits each in the contest, highlighted by home runs from seniors Tina Iosefa and Katie Browne. Alex Hugo posted her 19th double of the year while Kaylee Puailoa and Brea Dickey notched two hits as well. Senior Chelsea Wilkinson earned the win, going six innings with eight hits and four runs allowed, as three were earned, and striking out four. Kylie Bass came in to get the final three outs after the Tide started a rally in the seventh. The freshman allowed one hit and one run while posting the game-ending strikeout.

Overall, Hugo finished with a team-best four hits and five runs, as she was walked four times. Iosefa and Alyssa DiCarlo had five RBI each. The team finished with five home runs over the trio of games, led by Iosefa’s two.
 
 
BULLDOGS MARK WIN NO. 40
With the series-finale win over Alabama, Georgia secured its 40th win of the season, marking 15-consecutive years with 40 or more wins. Of SEC teams, only Alabama and Georgia have reached the 40-win plateau in each of the last 15 seasons.
 
 
IOSEFA MOVES TO FOURTH IN CAREER RBI
With five RBI against the Tide, Iosefa moved her way up to fourth on Georgia’s career RBI list, as she now has 205 RBI in her four years. The California native passed Megan Wiggins’ 203, but would have to do some work to catch Paige Wilson at third with 227. Iosefa sits in eighth on the NCAA active career leaders ranking and would be in SEC’s career top 10, but two active players in LSU’s Bianca Bell (231) and Auburn’s Kasey Cooper (214) are ranked above Iosefa as well.

Coming into the SEC Tournament, Iosefa is the nation’s RBI leader with 78, which has her tied at sixth in the SEC books. The SEC leader is Georgia’s Alisa Goler, who had 83 in one year of play.
 
 
HUGO CLIMBING CAREER RBI LIST
After adding two RBI with a two-run home run against Alabama, Hugo is also climbing the career RBI list at Georgia, now holding 182 in her three years. The senior passed Brianna Hesson to move to seventh overall, needing three to surpass Megan McAllister at sixth. The home run also helped Hugo record her 50th multi-RBI game and 100th extra-base hit of her Georgia career while pulling her closer to Alisa Goler’s program-best 58 home runs.

When including her freshman year numbers at Kansas, Hugo has 229 RBI, which puts her at third on the NCAA active career leaders, while her 71 home runs in fourth among active players.
 
 
DICARLO ONE OF FRESHMEN LEADING HITTERS
The SEC holds a strong group of freshmen in 2016, as one of those is no doubt DiCarlo. In the conference, DiCarlo’s 55 RBI and 11 home runs leads the first-year players while she is tied at first with 13 doubles. Her RBI number is also 27th in the nation, which leads all freshmen. Back in the SEC scheme, the Arizona native is fourth among freshmen with 63 total hits and third with her .373 average.

In SEC play against all players, DiCarlo is tied at the top with Auburn’s Kasey Cooper with nine home runs while she trails Texas A&M’s Ashley Walters with 29 RBI. She is also second with 55 total bases, fourth with a .733 slugging percentage and 10th with 26 hits.
 
 
WILKINSON’S 23 WINS IN SINGLE-SEASON TOP 10

The win over Alabama on Sunday boosted Wilkinson to the 23rd win of her senior year, moving her up to No. 10 in Georgia’s single-season win list. The right-handed hurler is now in the single-season list for her win total in each of the last three seasons, the only Bulldog pitcher to complete that accomplishment. Wilkinson has 92 wins in her career, placing her third in the career ranking.
