ATHENS, Ga. — School is out, and camp season is in. Tom Crean, new head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs, will conduct his first boys’ basketball camp in less than three weeks. The Day Camp will be held June 11-14 in Stegeman Coliseum and the Georgia Basketball Practice Facility adjacent to the arena.
The Day Camp includes two participation options. An Individual Camp will begin on Monday, June 11 and wrap up mid-day on Wednesday, June 14. An additional Shooting Camp will be held in the afternoon on June 14.
“The Bulldog Nation has been incredibly welcoming since I arrived in Athens,” Crean said. “I can’t wait for the opportunity to get our camps going. We’re going to have an outstanding staff. I’m going to be highly active in the camps. Our staff is going to be highly active. Our players are going to be active. This is a great way for us to not only help campers develop their skill set but also spread the energy and passion we want associated with Georgia Basketball.”
Coach Crean’s camps are focused on improving players’ basketball skills and enhancing participants’ passion for the game and specifically Georgia Basketball.
“We want to build our campus up, but at the same time what’s most important is that every player is going to leave here knowing that got better. They’re going to leave here knowing that they worked. They’re going to leave here knowing that they’ve added some skills to their game,” Crean said.
All UGA sports camps are open to any and all entrants, limited by age, gender or grade level. For more information or to reserve your spot at the camp, please call 706-542-1432 or visit www.TomCreanBasketballCamps.com.
