Georgia soccer is scheduled to face No. 20 Ole Miss in its second Southeastern Conference game of the season in a mid-week match tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET in Oxford, Mississippi.
In Georgia’s SEC opener last week in Columbia, Missouri, the Bulldogs (4-4-1) fell to the Missouri Tigers, 3-1. Two goals in the last 10 minutes of the game made the difference once the Bulldogs equaled the score at one-all at the 64:04 mark.
Scouting the Rebels
Ole Miss completed its non-conference schedule with a 7-0-1 record, before falling, 1-0, to the seventh-ranked Florida Gators in the SEC opener.
The Rebels have only allowed two goals this season, which ranks first in the SEC and fourth in the NCAA.
The Ole Miss scoring offense ranks second in the NCAA with 38 goals scored through nine games.
Dogs Back in Athens Sunday
The Bulldogs will return for its first home SEC game in Athens against the Vanderbilt Commodores Sunday, September 24 at 2 p.m.
Scouting the Commodores
Vanderbilt opened SEC play with a win at LSU to improve to 4-1 on the road so far this season.
The last time the teams met was when the Commodores knocked the Bulldogs out of the 2015 SEC Tournament in the first round with a final score of 2-1.
