The Georgia soccer team opens its 2015 home slate this Friday night at 7 p.m. against the 13th-ranked Clemson Tigers at the Turner Soccer Complex.
The Bulldogs have Sunday off before returning home on Sept. 11 to kick off SEC play against South Carolina at 7 p.m. ET.

Texas Tech controlled most of the second-half and snuck two goals by the Bulldogs to take the 2-1 victory.

[su_spacer size=”40″] Looking at the Tigers: Clemson has put together an impressive season thus far. The Tigers kicked off the year with a 2-0 road-victory over the College of Charleston. The following week the squad rallied back to defeat No. 8 South Carolina at home 2-1 and capped off the weekend on Sunday with a 2-1 victory over UNC Wilmington. The Tigers are currently ranked 13th nationally on the latest NSCAA poll.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Each of Clemson’s six goals this season have been scored by a different athlete, with no one on the squad having taken more than eight shots. The Tigers are led in goal by Kailen Sheridan, who earned First-Team All-ACC honors last year.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Georgia and Clemson have met a total of six times in the past, with the Tigers holding a 4-2 advantage. However the Bulldogs won the two schools’ last meetings including a 2-1 decision in 2009 when the teams last met.
