OXFORD, Miss. – #5 Georgia softball was shut out by Ole Miss Saturday, 5-0, resulting in the lone series loss of Southeastern Conference play this season by the Bulldogs.

Amanda Ablan (2-4) pitched a career-long 6.0 innings in the loss. She surrendered all five runs, only two being earned, on three hits. She tied a career-best nine strikeouts in the circle.

Offensively, Georgia outhit the Rebels, 5-3. The offense was once again paced by two-hit performances by Cortni Emanuel and Justice Milz at the top of the lineup.

With a runner on second in the bottom of the first, Ole Miss’ Brittany Finney doubled to the left-center gap to drive in the runner and take a 1-0 lead in the opening frame.
