After three of its last four games have been decided in the game’s final innings, the No. 10 Georgia softball team (18-2) will take its competitive drive on the road for six games in Charleston, S.C.
 
 
Beginning on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. ET, the Bulldogs will take on Charleston Southern at its place before being part of the field at the Holy City Showdown hosted by College of Charleston. Tournament play begins on Friday at 3:30 p.m. ET with back-to-back games against Chattanooga and the Cougars. Georgia will have a rematch against Charleston Southern while facing Michigan State and Columbia before the weekend concludes.

GAME NOTES

 
 
GEORGIA GOES EXTRAS IN WALK-OFF WIN
 
Georgia took a win in its first extra-inning affair on Tuesday, winning 4-3 in 10 frames over Boston College. Maeve McGuire brought in Tina Iosefa’s game-winning run with a hit in the left-center gap. The Bulldogs used a staff effort in the circle with Brittany Gray starting while Kylie Bass and Chelsea Wilkinson came in from the bullpen. Bass threw five perfect innings before Wilkinson came in to notch the win.
 
 
HARRIS-CHAMPER ONE AWAY FROM 750TH WIN AT GEORGIA
 
Georgia head coach Lu Harris-Champer is one win away from her 750th win at Georgia. Now in her 16th year in Athens, Harris-Champer has never had a losing overall record while notching 40 or more wins 14-consecutive seasons. Earlier this season, the California native hit her 950th career win, as she is in her 20th season coaching. Over that span, she has guided teams to 18 Regionals, eight Super Regionals and four Women’s College World Series appearances.
 
 
HUGO LEAVING MARK ON GEORGIA
 
Her name is already in many of Georgia’s records, but Alex Hugo continues to solidify her place in Bulldog history. After leading the team with eight runs scored this past weekend, including a career-high four against Austin Peay, and one over Boston College, Hugo is now ninth in Georgia’s all-time runs scored with 147. Her home run total also continues to climb, as after two against the Lady Govs, she has 51 in her Georgia career, which is second behind Alisa Goler’s 58. Adding those to her numbers she put up as a freshman at Kansas, Hugo has 193 runs and 64 home runs over four years.
 
 
BROWNE WITH OVER 1,000 CAREER PUTOUTS
 
Katie Browne appeared behind the plate for 4.1 innings of work this past weekend, but it was enough to push the senior to over 1,000 putouts in her career. With the eight she had in the Georgia Softball Classic, Browne is now one of six Bulldogs to ever have over 1,000 career putouts with 1,006. The Louisiana native is currently sixth in the career record list, behind Kristyn Sandberg’s 1,107 sitting at fifth.
 
 
LONG BALL LEADS GEORGIA OVER AUSTIN PEAY
 
Georgia used the long ball to propel itself to its 11th run-rule win of the season, putting up six home runs against Austin Peay. The last time the Bulldogs put up six home runs in a game was a 9-1 win over NC State in the 2014 Athens Regional. Georgia had 10 hits in that game while Tina Iosefa had two home runs and Browne collected one. Six home runs is one shy of Georgia’s record for home runs in a game, as the team had seven against Delaware State in 2013.
