The Georgia softball team ended their regular season on a high note Sunday, taking Arkansas to the woodshed and then some with a 10-0 win. With the victory, the Bulldogs also took the weekend series over the Hogs 2 games to 1.

Behind a dominant pitching effort of starter Amanda Ablan (2-2) and Kylie Bass, Georgia held Arkansas to one hit, a double from A.J. Belans in the sixth, while the Razorbacks left five on base from three walks and an error. Ablan pitched 4.1 frames with two walks and a strikeout while Bass earned the save, giving up the lone hit along with a walk and two strikeouts in 2.2 frames.

The Bulldogs dominated offensively, tabbing 15 hits with Cortni Emanuel leading the team with three. Kendall Burton, Alyssa DiCarlo, Mahlean O’Neal and Jordan Doggett each tabbed two. Razorback starter Autumn Storms (16-14) took the loss with five hits and two runs while Georgia did most of its damage against Grace Moll with seven hits and five runs allowed in three innings.

RBI single from Alysen Febrey and DiCarlo’s 12th home run of the year had Georgia ahead 2-0 after three. After a sacrifice fly from Maeve McGuire in the fifth, two more came in the sixth with Doggett hitting in Brea Dickey before scoring on an error for a 5-0 advantage.

Georgia exploded in the final frame with five runs coming in on three hits, as O’Neal and Doggett both singled through the right side while Burton got a two-RBI hit up the middle.
