[su_spacer size=”10″] IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
The Bulldogs are making their 14th-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament this weekend. Georgia owns an overall record in 50-27 in the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs have reached the Regional round of play 14 times, advancing to a Super Regional seven times and to the Women’s College World Series twice, in 2009 and 2010. Last season Georgia hosted a NCAA Super Regional but dropped two games to Baylor in the best of three series.
[su_spacer size=”40″] BE OUR GUEST
This weekend marks the eighth time that the Bulldogs have hosted an NCAA Regional. Georgia has advanced out of the Athens Regional six times. Georgia is 23-5 all-time when it hosts a NCAA Regional and has gone 3-0 three times. Georgia is 28-9 all-time in the postseason at Jack Turner Stadium, as it is 5-4 in NCAA Super Regionals.
[su_spacer size=”40″] ALL-SEC
Georgia put five players on an All-SEC Team, it was announced earlier this week. Alex Hugo earned first team honors, while Chelsea Wilkinson, Sydni Emanuel and Tina Iosefa earned second team accolades. Cortni Emanuel was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team. It was the most All-SEC honors since 2011.
[su_spacer size=”40″] REACHING
Alex Hugo carries an 18-game reached base streak into this weekend’s NCAA Athens Regional. It is the longest active streak of any Georgia player. Sydni Emanuel holds the longest reached base streak this season at 33 games. Emanuel has reached base safely in all but three games this season.

The winner of the NCAA Athens Regional is set to play the winner of the NCAA Ann Arbor winner, hosted by the third-seeded Michigan. Should the current seeds hold, it will be the eighth time that Georgia and Michigan have faced off on the diamond. The last time the teams met was in the 2010 season opener when the Bulldogs won 6-4 over the No. 3 Wolverines.
