Tina Iosefa tallied three RBI in the second game of Sunday’s doubleheader against Oklahoma State (32-26), leading Georgia (43-18) to a 6-0 victory in the back end of the twin billing on Sunday afternoon to advance to Super Regionals.
 
 
Iosefa’s three RBI gave her sole possession of the SEC and Georgia single-season record for RBI, now with 86 on the year. The Lynwood, California native’s outburst at the plate started with a towering two-run shot to left in the first inning of game two, seizing momentum for the Bulldogs after the Cowgirls took game one, 5-3, to force the winner-take-all second game.
 
 
Georgia will next head to Gainesville, Florida to face the top-ranked Gators in the Super Regional round.

Game One
 
 
Georgia, the visiting team for game one, started the game hot and took advantage of three consecutive singles from Sydni and Cortni Emanuel and Alyssa DiCarlo with a RBI knock to start play and take a 1-0 lead before an out was recorded. Alex Hugo’s sacrifice fly with one out and runners on the corners made the score 2-0 through a half of an inning.
 
 
An error came to haunt the Bulldogs in the bottom of the first as a bases-empty, two-out situation turned into two runs after a throwing error, walk and single to center to draw even at 2-2 after the first inning.
 
 
A free pass to the leadoff hitter for the Cowgirls the follow inning turned into the go-ahead run after two groundouts and a single allowed Vanessa Shippy to come around and score, putting Georgia behind 3-2.
 
 
The Cowgirls’ defense struggled in the top of the fourth as the unit conceded three errors in the frame, coupled with an infield single and a hit-by-pitch to allow Georgia to draw even in the contest at 3-3. Oklahoma State was picked up on offense in the bottom of the frame, though, coming through with five infield hits for two runs and the decisive 5-3 lead.
 
 
Game Two
 
 
Tina Iosefa got the scoring started in the bottom of the first of game two, launching a monstrous home run well over the fence in left for a two-run shot and a 2-0 lead.
 
 
After three quiet innings, the Bulldogs seized control of the game with a two-out rally in the fifth. Kaylee Puailoa got Georgia started with a bases-empty walk and Samantha LaZear followed with a single. Sydni Emanuel then bunted for a single to load the bases for Cortni Emanuel, who drove in two runs on a botched grounder by the Cowgirl shortstop. DiCarlo and Iosefa capped the inning with back-to-back RBI knocks, allowing Georgia to seize a 6-0 lead as the game headed to the home stretch.
 
 
Chelsea Wilkinson held the door shut on the Oklahoma State offense, finishing off the Cowgirls with a brilliant performance in the circle. The senior righty allowed only four hits while fanning nine in her second complete game in as many days.
