Bulldog running back Sony Michel discusses Georgia’s 38-7 win over in-state rival Georgia Tech on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta at Bobby Dodd Stadium, and now, turning their attention to the SEC Championship game.
The senior carried the ball for 13 times for 85 yards and a touchdown, averaging 6.5 yards per carry. His lone score came during the second-half in the third-quarter on a 4-yard run where he made several Yellow Jacket defenders grab air and “break ankles.” Sony’s touchdown put the Bulldogs up 23-7 before the PAT. He attributed Georgia’s success on offense to execution and his teammates doing their job.
“I’d say we executed well today,” Michel said. “Guys did their job, guys played for each other and that’s the ultimate goal.
