Fourth-ranked Georgia welcomes Kennesaw State to Foley Field Tuesday with first pitch slated for 5:02 p.m. (SECN+).

The Bulldogs began the year 7-0, the best start in the Scott Stricklin era, before dropping the final contest of a four-game series with Santa Clara here this past Sunday. Last Wednesday in Kennesaw, Georgia registered a 10-3 win over the Owls. On Tuesday, the teams meet again, and it will be the same pitching matchup.

Georgia redshirt freshman Garrett Brown (0-0, 4.50 ERA) will make his second career start. He got a no-decision against the Owls last week (4IP, 3H, 2R, 1BB, 2K). The Owls will start junior RHP Luke Torbert (0-1, 3.60 ERA). His line in the first game was 3IP, 2H, 2R, 1ER, 3BB, 6K. Georgia was led at the plate by senior shortstop Cam Shepherd, who homered and drove in three, and junior third baseman Garrett Blaylock, who smashed two home runs and had three RBI. Blaylock is tied for the SEC lead with four home runs.

Georgia redshirt junior OF/LHP Tucker Bradley (.467-3-10; 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 SV) ranks third in the SEC with a team-best .467 average and .579 on-base percentage. He has three home runs, a team-high 14 hits, 10 RBI, five stolen bases plus made two relief appearances for a total of 3.1 scoreless innings with five strikeouts. In Saturday’s 5-4 win over Santa Clara, he made a leaping attempt at the wall in left field and prevented a potential three-run home run that resulted in just a one-run double in the 10th inning and then smashed a walk-off home run in the 12th. He has reached base in all eight games this year and hit safely in the first seven contests.
