Georgia senior guards Shacobia Barbee and Tiaria Griffin added to their postseason accolades on Tuesday as each were named to the 2015-16 Associated Press All-SEC Team.

Barbee, who was named to the All-SEC First Team and All-SEC Defensive Team by the league’s coaches earlier this year, earned second-team honors, while Griffin, a coaches’ All-SEC Second Team selection, was named honorable mention by the AP voters.

Both guards have had outstanding careers over the last four years at Georgia, combining for nearly 200 career starts during their time in Athens. Barbee and Griffin are part of a prestigious group of 1,000-point scorers. They became the 36th and 37th UGA players, respectively, to reach the career 1,000-point mark earlier this season.

A native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Barbee ranked in the top-5 in rebounds, steals and assists at the time of her season-ending injury against Florida on Feb. 21. She scored in double figures in 21 of 27 games and recorded nine double-doubles this season.

Griffin is currently Georgia’s leading scorer with her 14.6 points per game. The Monticello, Mississippi native leads the SEC in 3-point field goals this season with 72 made shots from behind the arc. She is also the career active leader in the SEC with 218 made 3-point baskets over the last four years — a total that ranks third on the Georgia career records chart.

The Lady Bulldogs are set for their 32nd appearance in the NCAA Tournament and will travel to South Bend, Indiana, to take on No. 9 seed Indiana at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday. That contest will air nationally on ESPN2.
