The following year, he led the Dawgs defense in tackles with 119. Over his collegiate career, Lewis totaled 314 tackles, which puts him 12th all time in Georgia history, and 14 sacks which puts him 14th all time in Georgia history.

He would go on to play at linebacker for the Jets from 1991-2003 being named to the Pro Bowl 3 times and being selected as an All-Pro twice. Mo would play in 200 games starting all but 1 of those and register 1,231 tackles, 52.5 sacks, 26 forced fumbles and 14 interceptions over his 13 year NFL career.
