Daily Dawg Thread – 23September2019: Recruiting prospects enjoying their visit to UGA over the weekend

The University of Georgia hosted a number of prospective student-athletes over the weekend for the Bulldogs home game versus Notre Dame on Saturday. To say the vibe in the Classic City of Athens, GA was exciting is an understatement. Add to that the thrilling game where the Dawgs defeated the Irish 23-17 and the school showed off the new LED lighting system at Sanford Stadium, and a number of those recruits shared how they felt about their visit to UGA.

EJ Smith, a 5-foot-11 and 199 lbs senior running back out of Jesuit High School in Dallas, TX and the son of former NFL and Florida running back Emmitt Smith, had nothing but thanks and praise for UGA on his official visit.

Tim Keenan III, a 4-star class of 2021 defensive tackle prospect out of the state of Alabama from Ramsay High School “had a great time.”

Another 2021 prospect, defensive back Derek Spearman II out of William Amos Hough High School in Cornelius, NC, also Tweeted out that he had “a great time in Athens.”

Hardin County High School, Savannah, TN class of 2021 tight end prospect Hunter Wolfe, “WOW!! That was awesome!”

There were quite of few 2022 prospects visiting as well. This wasn’t Benedictine High School quarterback Holden Geriner‘s first time in Athens. The 6-foot-3 and 200 lbs sophomore from Savannah, GA had “another great time in Athens.”
