Daily Dawg Thread – 27July2019: Update on 2021 DE Korey Foreman

One of the top prospects in the 2021 recruiting class made his way to Athens, GA to visit UGA on Friday, defensive end Korey Foreman. The 5-star phenom out of Corona, California Tweeted out his location early in the afternoon on Friday.

Foreman has been the road warrior the last few days as he also visited Clemson on Thursday.

The rising junior has received a lot of attention over the last several months with major programs like Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and UCLA extending Foreman scholarship offers. He currently holds over 25 offers including Georgia’s. The Bulldawgs offered Foreman back on April 30th.

Foreman put on a show at The Opening Finals during the week of 4th of July out in Frisco, Texas. In addition to posting a 4.50-second shuttle and 43.5-foot power ball toss, the 6-foot-4 and 263 lbs Foreman made a number of offensive linemen look silly in one-on-one drills.

He is currently ranked the No. 2 SDE prospect for 2021 by 247Sports and the No. 4 player overall nationally. Rivals also ranks him as the No. 2 SDE prospect and No. 4 player overall nationally. Both recruiting services have him as the No. 1 overall player from the state of California.

College coaches are still working on their 2020 recruiting classes but 2021 recruiting is also in full swing. I expect Foreman to receive more offers and take more visits before he names his top schools, but the Dawgs are in the race with an offer and the fact he came to Athens on his own dime for the weekend.
