BSB: Missouri Edges Georgia, 6-5
Missouri evened an SEC series with Georgia Friday, rallying for a 6-5 win in 10 innings at Foley Field in front of a crowd of 3,760.

- Leighton Finley started on the mound and set a career-high with six strikeouts in five innings but got a no decision. Brian Zeldin went a career-long five innings but dropped to 3-1.

The seventh-ranked Georgia softball team fell to the Kentucky Wildcats in game one of the SEC series Friday evening 7-5 at John Cropp Stadium.

• Goodwin’s fourth SEC double is a team-best in conference play this season for Georgia

• Lyndi Rae Davis’ two-RBI hit in the seventh was good enough for her ninth multi-RBI game, tied for second-most on the team.

All 13 SEC softball teams will join in wearing teal or teal accents on Saturday, April 13, as the entire league recognizes Alex Wilcox’s impact on the softball community nationwide and in the fight against ovarian cancer.
Wilcox was a member of the 2018 Mississippi State softball team who inspired the nation with her courageous fight against ovarian cancer. That fight ultimately took her life in the summer of 2018.
G-Day 2023: Lettermen’s Game will kickoff at 10:45
The University of Georgia will hold its annual lettermen’s flag football game prior to the G-Day spring game on Saturday, April 13 at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium. Nearly 50 Georgia football letterwinners from six different decades are expected to participate in the game, which begins at 10:45 a.m. prior to the G-Day kickoff at 1 p.m.
Three former Bulldogs will serve as coaches: Jeffrey Thomas, who lettered at wide receiver from 1991-94, Calvin Ruff, who lettered at defensive line from 1983-86, and Demetrius Douglas, who lettered at linebacker from 1986-89. During the game, three-year letterman Bobby Poss (1969-71) and 1971 letterman Johnny Cobb will serve as the public address announcers.
Brett Millican, who lettered at running back from 1997-00, and Tra Battle, who lettered at safety from 2003-06, will serve as the contest’s captains.
Kickoff for this year’s G-Day is set for 1 p.m. and will stream live on SEC Network+. Jay Alter, Aaron Murrray, and Taylor Davis will be on the call. Tickets cost $5, and Sanford Stadium gates will close at 10:30 a.m.
