AUBURN

 
This is the seventh rematch in Sec Championship game history, with the winner of the regular season game winning five of the previous six.
 
The 1997 SEC title game that pitted Tennessee and Auburn was the first that didn’t feature Florida or Alabama.
 
Auburn has won three SEC championships since 2004, (2004, 2010, 2013) second only to Alabama over that stretch
 

GEORGIA

 
Georgia will be involved in its second SEC title game rematch, falling twice to LSU in 2003.
 
From 1980-82, Georgia won three straight SEC championships, clinching all three titles with wins over Auburn.
 
Five of Georgia’s six SEC championships won under Vince Dooley’s watch were clinched on the Plains.
