As he heads into to his sophomore campaign, Issac Nauta is starting to realize just how much improvement is available to him after his freshman year.

“I just need to finish blocks better, that’s one thing that I felt like I needed to do. Catch everything that’s thrown my way and just being a good leader, for one. I feel like I need to start talking more and get more involved in that area and just being a good teammate.”

When asked if he can be the Dawgs’ leading receiver, Nauta replied:

Yeah, I definitely think I can be that guy. That’s one of my goals, to get open, catch the ball and make plays to help this team win. But we also have a bunch of guys that can make plays, so whatever we gotta do – I gotta do – to help this team win, that’s what we’ll do.
