Ten UGA players invited to the 2020 NFL Combine

Ten University of Georgia players have been invited to the 2020 NFL Combine which will take place over nine days at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana starting on Sunday, February 23rd and conclude on Monday, March 2nd. Bulldogs invited are kicker Rodrigo Blankenship, wide receiver Lawrence Cager, quarterback Jake Fromm, running back Brian Herrien, offensive guard Solomon Kindley, defensive back J.R. Reed, running back D’Andre Swift, offensive tackle Andrew Thomas, offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson, and tight end Charlie Woerner.

UGA is one of five schools that have 10 or more players invited to this year’s Combine. LSU is represented with the most with 16 while Michigan and Ohio State have the next most with 11 while Alabama matches Georgia with 10.

NFL Combine participants are given a thorough workup that includes physical exams and measurements, drug screens, along with the Cybex and Wonderlick tests. Each team is allowed 60 interviews that are done in 15-minute intervals. Players can also choose to participate in various other evaluations that include the following:

Vertical jump
Broad jump
20-yard shuttle
3-cone drill
60-yard shuttle
Position-specific drills
Bench press – measuring how many 225 lbs repetitions a player can lift
