DawgByte  I think under CMR, there was a big emphasis on the S&C program as well as being physical in practices/games.  So, on the one hand, I could see where players might not see a huge culture shift at this point given that it’s spring and CKS and staff are just trying to install the basics and get players to “buy into” the process/system.

However, where I do think we’ll see a huge culture change is in CKS’ expectations regarding individual work ethic and leadership (I haven’t seen a true leader on either side of the ball since Aaron Murray departed Athens, and CKS is really trying to get someone to step up and assume that role, which is vital on championship teams) and in CKS’ expectations of perfection in every minor aspect of the game (i.e., breaking huddles, getting plays into the offense, etc.).  If rumor is true, Saban used to practice the cadence of coaches speaking into headsets during games (no detail was too minor).  So, while I feel certain that we may get beaten by teams with better athletes who make more plays (particularly until this staff can build the depth it desires in all positions on both sides of the ball), I suspect that we won’t get beaten due to sheer lack of preparation as seemed to be a relatively common occurrence in prior years (with the two eggs we laid in Jacksonville each of the past 2 years despite having 2 weeks to prepare for each game coming to mind quickly).  However, again, I’m not sure that many will notice these somewhat “minor” changes, which are critical for teams that strive to compete for championships each year.

DawgByte RumRunnerDoogie rugbydawg79 DawgByte -I played at UGA then for Atlanta (for way to long) what is your Rugby background – on another note – there is hope that the football team using the Cub Sports for Practice will leave UGA with a nicer field

DawgByte RumRunnerDoogie rugbydawg79 the usa fans travel great too. Can always spot a captain amerca and a lot of star and stripes bikini’s in the stands . only bad thing about this tournament is that winning the pool now they have to face South Africa. The US is doing really good this world series though, in 5th place overall

I don’t believe their is much of a culture change either. The team just has to stay hungry and chase that long over due conveyed sec championship

RumRunnerDoogie DawgByte rugbydawg79 That’s precisely what I’ve heard… a huge party. One of my buds has been to it a couple of times. He described exactly as you did… a giant Halloween party with a lot of people leaving clothing optional.

DawgByte RumRunnerDoogie rugbydawg79 its just a huge party, i think its the biggest tournament on the world series roster too. i wouldnt mind going to vegas when they make the series stop there either. all these tournaments are is Halloween in the stands haha

Interesting article today about whether there’s been that much of a culture change since Kirby has come on board. Sony doesn’t think so and neither does Blaze other than minor tweaks. I think one area that has definitely changed is recruiting. I think there’s little doubt Kirby is casting a broader net and offering significantly more players.

Glad to see this kid get an offer.

As a golf person, yesterday at the Masters was one of the more interesting rounds I have seen. The Mickelson melt down was particularly engaging. One hole he 3 putts from two feet, two holes later from about 15 feet he putts it off the green. Misses the cut by one after being two shots out of second after 6 holes. On paper AGNC seems fairly unimposing but it is challenging even when the wind isnt blowing. Should be another fun one today. Wish they would start the dang telecasts earlier.

BTW, love Huck’s Corner! Well done. I was particular interested on his OL prediction and insight into how Chaney will use our TE’s. Man if you’re a TE recruit you’ll love what you see at UGA.

    Great stuff, welcome aboard Huck.

DawgByte He sho is! And I am glad we have Jim “I love a tight end” Chaney! Dang that has two meanings!

Soooooo, when will UGA announce the music for #93KDay? My guess is Monday about 1:30, but B-M has not shown much awareness of media management.
