PatriotVeteran There are several Georgia Bulldawgs currently on the roster that were silent commits; so, saying they don’t really want to be Dawgs if they are “silent” commits simply isn’t true.

While it would be nice to have 10 to 15 EEs for 2017, I am not sure that Georgia would have room for that many, and not every prospect can realistically be an EE. Most high school student need that extra semester in high school to finish their classes to get the credits they need to qualify for college.

  2. PatriotVeteran

Bulldawg Bob2 dawgmum        Silent Commits IMO aren’t locked down, so if someone of the same caliber of talent and star value, COMMITS TO THE G – UGA should take the one who openingly says he’s a dawg and stops the BS of going on OV’s and communicating with other colleges.   If you don’t really want to be a dawg, you hind behind the title “Silent”.     UGA should go for players with integrity, loyalty and dedicated to wanting to play for the DAWGS.

If a class 2017 wants to play in the next GDay in 2017, they should think about registering in UGA in early January 2017, like Eason did.    It gives you time to learn about college live, time to learn the Playbook, and time to get physically fit to play at the college level.       I hope at least 10-15 go EE in 2017,   It also means they are REALLY COMMITTED TO THE G…. not just talking.

  3. RumRunnerDoogie

TtownDawg over the comment box u should have ur name and a drop down menu will appear if u roll the mouse over it and click on edit profile and it should say change avatar or something along those lines

  4. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg Bob2 RumRunnerDoogie yea really good turn out, especially with new names posting

  5. Bulldawg Bob2

RumRunnerDoogie  Aye. Did pretty good since the last recruiting chat was right before NSD

  6. Bulldawg Bob2

dentaldawg  Aye. Young put it in the endzone on a 99 yard long drive in the 4th quarter versus Florida in 1983 which ended up being the only touchdown in the game as the Dawgs defeated the Gators 10-9

  7. dentaldawg

Saw on Dawgnation where Barry Young passed away today. DGD. Member of 80 NC team and Herschel’s roommate.
Remember him scoring at the end of a long drive to seal win against the gators his senior year. RIP Barry.

  8. Bulldawg Bob2

Herrien was in a similar sitiuation to Ian McIntyre having to wait on his ACT scores to see if he cleared the NCAA clearing house.  NCAA academicc qualifiers changed this year and it hit this class hard. There were a number of guys caught off guard and had to retest that would have qualified in last year and years past.

  9. Bulldawg Bob2

Ya’ll ready for chat with Lucas Rogers and Heath Holland? Only about 15 minutes away

  10. dawgmum

BenKellam dawgmum Yeah, same here. I don’t really know who it is. He’s a Dawg fan on Twitter. I did hear from someone else that WPoole said on Periscope that there were at least 10 silent commits, so I guess that’s where he heard it from.

  11. Colonial Dawg

ZippyMorocco MMCSDAWG Had a total knee replacement (right knee) 5 years ago.  Really wasn’t too bad.  Good luck with it.  “Motion is Lotion”!!

  12. BenKellam

dawgmum Who is that? All that comes up when I google the name is a million pages about Shaq and Kobe’s feud.

  13. Bulldawg Bob2

dawgmum  It’s possible. I have heard there were a number of commitments made in private over the weekend with Poole going public with his on G-Day and then, of course, Netori’s today.

  14. Bulldawg Bob2

CLTDawg Me  too. He’s worked very hard to come back from that knee injury he suffered his senior year in high school.

  15. DawgDaddy

ZippyMorocco I have lots of friends who have had successful knee replacements.  Prayers lifted for you and your family and the entire medical team.

  16. CLTDawg

Greg Poole Same stuff that was on his rider for when he played homecoming a few years back. It’s all just part of compensation, not a big deal.

  17. Bulldawg Bob2

    BenKellam DawgByte Bulldawg36  Agree Ben.

Cleveland is naturally strong. A year in UGA’s collegiate level S&C program, and watch out!

  18. BenKellam

DawgByte Bulldawg Bob2 Bulldawg36 Give it a season or so and I would bet it’s big Ben.

  19. RumRunnerDoogie

CLTDawg Bulldawg Bob2 naw he was kissing the bear bryant statue instead while on a date with his cousin

  20. Bulldawg Bob2

Bulldawg36  Just one of the fanatical fringe fans for the Tide that every school has lurking in their fan base.

  21. CLTDawg

Bulldawg Bob2 I’m going to go ahead and say 0% chance that dude ever sniffed the front door of admissions in Tuscaloosa.

  22. Bulldawg36

Hate bama! They shouldn’t be so mad they’ve won several national championships. Just a bunch of greedy gumps who can’t accept the fact that they can’t win at everything all the time! It kills them that UGA is on the rise!!!!!

  24. CLTDawg

Looks like we have to reset the ole’ “Number of Days since CLTDawg has completely lost his S***” counter. Computers can be such pieces of crap sometimes, man.

  25. Trent Smallwood

MMCSDAWG Bulldawg Bob2 That is using his “lost weight” and not calculating Johnson’s “added weight” haha

Bulldawg Bob2 My boy Solomon has lost about 30lbs too…  Heard he’s down aroud 345 right now.  Kid might be a diamond, it shows me a lot of determination and will to loss that kind of weight in couple of months.  He has excellent feet and one heck of a wingspan for a big man.  Could be a player in the future!

  27. Brooklyndawg

Greg Poole Pick your ranking….according to 247 composite, Gumps are still about 9 points ahead of us….ATM

  28. Trent Smallwood

Greg Poole Rickpope2330 That guy running that page is a scam, we all know that. lol

  29. DawgByte

Netori Johnson in the house! I thought he would be a person committing later in the process. Nevertheless, he is a welcome addition in a position of need!

    Welcome to the DawgNation Netori!

  30. Greg Poole

AlphaDawg I know a photog who is about to file an action against a site for using his stuff. They actually cropped the watermark out and posted the photo. To be clear, it was not those guys though.

  31. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole Rickpope2330 Can’t wait for that day. I’m going to share the heck out of it’s publicity.

  32. Greg Poole

Rickpope2330  These guys think giving credit for a photo entitles them to use it. They will get an expensive lesson one day.

  33. Bulldawg36

Heck yeah- hate those chickens. I would hate to be around gator fans as well and they’re some around here as well

  34. BenKellam

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole BenKellam Good stuff. This years national signing day will be fun. Our entire class will have already committed.

  35. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 pretty much everything, really all vape is doing is changing COPD patients into pulmonary edema ones

  36. Greg Poole

RumRunnerDoogie  According to nameless sources, other materials may be heated inside the device also.

  37. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 probably a gamecock fan too, so u should kick em off the bridge to make sure

  38. RumRunnerDoogie

ZippyMorocco Bulldawg36 its a electronic cig that u essentially inhale (some with nicotine) water vapor instead of smoke

  39. rugbydawg79

MMCSDAWG Bulldawg Bob2 Cleveland and Madden will be around for a while – dang we have gotten big !

  40. Bulldawg36

Yep! I bet we did have more than Ohio st!! They can cry about it all they want!! I hate Ohio st!!!!!!

  41. Greg Poole

BahitsDawg  After talking to several folks who were outside and downtown – I’m pretty confident that +- 110k came to Athens Saturday – counting those of us who live here.

  42. AlphaDawg

Rickpope2330 no longer a recruit but watching Mecole running up and down the sidelines was cool

Greg Poole I didn’t realize this was free!  Here you go BenKellam  this is the article I was referring to!

Rickpope2330 The train is definitely running down the tracks and if you want to ride, you better get a 1st class ticket ASAP!

  45. Rickpope2330

Wow work in the yard all day and come in to see we got a Huge commit? I walked by Netori several times at GDay and could tell that he was really feeling the atmosphere. Trust me when I say he wasn’t the only one. Stay tuned many more to come!

  46. BahitsDawg

ZippyMorocco MidtownTeacher Bulldawg Bob2 CLTDawg Brooklyndawg I wonder if that was a habit he picked up in Mississippi or if he started in high school here in the GA.

BenKellam MMCSDAWG CLTDawg Trent Smallwood Bulldawg Bob2 Behind the pay wall otherwise I would quote every single one of them!  Trust me though, I like everything he had to say about his decision and his decision to take further visits and recruiting.

  48. ZippyMorocco

    MidtownTeacher Bulldawg Bob2 CLTDawg Brooklyndawg
It wasn’t an accident. He meant to do synthetic marijuana.

RumRunnerDoogie  Change the game… No backing down!  I like the “swag” these new kids have!

  50. MidtownTeacher

Bulldawg Bob2 CLTDawg Brooklyndawg I read the article and came away impressed by Nkemdiche.  I appreciate him being a thinker and not walking to the forced beat everyone else walks to.  He can tear it up on Saturdays (Sundays) and he will be a very good DL.  There is no reason football players can’t be thinkers and my hats off to him.  Yes, the accident was dumb, but let any of you on here who has not done something dumb around that age please stand up and throw stones at this guy – I know I can’t.

  51. Bulldawg36

His hair does have swag! I bet he doesn’t Vape!!!! Big pick up for my beloved Dawgs!!!!

  52. ZippyMorocco

    Brooklyndawg ZippyMorocco
I’m looking forward to being a 68 year old stud muffin. 🙂

RumRunnerDoogie CLTDawg It’s better than Skeered…  Which is how we looked when Alabama came to Athens last year!

  54. BahitsDawg

RumRunnerDoogie CLTDawg Someone should photoshop a Mike Tyson tattoo on his face.

    Talk about self destructing.  smh

  55. BahitsDawg

Bulldawg Bob2 CLTDawg The knucklehead should have kept that to himself until after draft day.  He just dropped another round.

  56. Greg Poole

CLTDawg MMCSDAWG Trent Smallwood Bulldawg Bob2  The momentum that got him on board has just started rolling

  57. Brooklyndawg

ZippyMorocco Brooklyndawg OUCH!!! Best of luck on your surgery, it will be like a new you, guaranteed!

  58. Bulldawg Bob2

CLTDawg Unless there is a coaching change or something happens with grades, ect. I am pretty confident Netori stays committed, especially if his teammate does. Still a long way to go till NSD though.

  59. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg Bob2 CLTDawg Maybe that fall from the 2nd floor adversely affected him in more ways than his draft status. Guy’s not right.

  60. CLTDawg

MMCSDAWG CLTDawg Trent Smallwood Bulldawg Bob2 Good to hear! I had thought he was a guy that will be a struggle the whole way regardless of if he commits anywhere.

CLTDawg He might want to save the money he was going to spend on the Panther, he’s NOT going to be receiving an NFL check for very long.

  62. Bulldawg Bob2

CLTDawg  Hmmmm. Not sure that is a good idea given the show I watch the other day about exotic pets attacking their owners.

CLTDawg Trent Smallwood Bulldawg Bob2 Based on the words he had with Jake over on Rivals I would put it about 98.97854625% lol

  64. Brooklyndawg

ZippyMorocco My cardio guy told me the same thing, said you might have had a silent attack, maybe more than one, in the past….asymptomatic things, they are. BTW, friend of mine recently had 2 knees done, successfully and not looking back. Just avoid the hype over the new light weight replacements made out of pressure-treated balsawood, they don’t last##

  65. CLTDawg

Trent Smallwood Bulldawg Bob2 How confident are we that Netori stays committed all the way through NSD?

  66. Bulldawg Bob2

Trent Smallwood only because a really awesome recruiting guru had the down low on the up and up.

  67. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg Bob2 Bulldawg36 If the current action, and much more to come, doesn’t light a fire under DRob to commit here then….I don’t know what.

  68. Brooklyndawg

ATM, Dawgs ranked #8 on the 247 composite, and closing fast on the 3 just above us, Clemson, Michigan, and Gumps.

CLTDawg MMCSDAWG Right!  me too.  So who is the next commit other than Herring?  lol…

  70. CLTDawg

MMCSDAWG CLTDawg Lol I pretty much consider Herring a commit at this point. He looks to be as sure of a thing as Mecole last cycle. I forget that he hasn’t actually committed.

  71. Dawgnation4

Trent Smallwood Was Netori the commit that was suppose to happen after 4 you mentioned earlier?

Bulldawg36 You could be right #36!   Hopefully we will get another 1 or 2 17′ kids before May 2!  But who knows…   G-day definitely put gasoline on an already burning fire around our dawgs!

CLTDawg Maybe him or another big man???  Herring is all but a Dawg, not sure when he is going to make it official though!

  74. ZippyMorocco

    MMCSDAWG ZippyMorocco
It caused me to give up golf. I’ve been walking bone on bone for 50 years. I finally reached the point where I couldn’t do stairs.

  75. Reddawg13

Bulldawg Bob2 Bam! We are getting us some Trench Dogs! And that my friends has a nice “ring” to it!

ZippyMorocco Good to hear the ticker is good!  Good luck with the knee surgery.  I might have to get a hip one day soon!  Been bothering me and my golf game for a while now!

RumRunnerDoogie AlphaDawg Chalk one up for Kirby and Pittman!  he also mentions DJ Looney in an interview behind the pay wall over on rivals.  He wasn’t coming to UGA before Kirby and Pittman arrived.  Welcome home Big Dawg!

  78. Bulldawg Bob2

Line ’em up and knock ’em down. Hear that sound a coming? That is the Georgia Bulldogs baby! Whoof! Whoof! Whoof!

  79. RumRunnerDoogie

Trent Smallwood Bulldawg Bob2 paid site trent tryin to get info from us freeloaders#

  80. ZippyMorocco

I have to have a total knee replacement. Thank you football.
So, my dentist and doctor have to sign off before the ortho will schedule the surgery. The doc did an EKG, and said something was wrong. Either I have had a heart attack, or I was born that way. I think I would have remembered a heart attack.
So I had a chemical stress test today (I can’t jog). While most of me is abnormal, my heart turned out to be normal.
So, it looks like a new knee is a few weeks off.

  81. Greg Poole

Trent Smallwood Y’all need to copy that Crystal Ball thingy. Maybe call the Crystal Mower???

Trent Smallwood Bulldawg Bob2 Told you’ll the BRB/MNM has been lurking the last couple of days…  This one is going to be a big one! lol

  83. Trent Smallwood

Bulldawg Bob2 You serious? You can’t be serious………..or can you. For real though, you serious?

Greg Poole That is insane…  Wholly crap.  It sure is nice to have Nike and Oil monies running thru your program!   I can’t wait to see our new facility once it’s completed!

PTCDawg It would definitely be HUGE and not just in his size!  Our OL could change drastically by the end of 2017 if we get Netori plus 4 of the 5 others we are heavy favored for or trending with…

  86. PTCDawg

And yet another MMCS…I hope this is an indication of the right cat being let out of the bag…picking up Netori would be awesome on multiple levels!!

Greg Poole And you played your butt off for those 93K+ fans!  Change the game D’Andre!

AlphaDawg Greg Poole Nope, this one is going to be public this afternoon!   The midnight mower has been hanging around the last couple of days so it’s rock solid!  lol

Bansai buckeroo Nice!  I haven’t been out there in almost 20 years myself.  I am planning to make a coast to coast trip as a retirement gift to myself once I call it quits for good!  I might have to bring an oxygen bottle though!

  90. Bulldawg Bob2

MMCSDAWG Bulldawg Bob2 rugbydawg79 Greg Poole StMarysDawg  LOL. The days are right though 🙂

  91. AlphaDawg

MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg Greg Poole I don’t think it is right now. I’ve been stuck in a ballroom for a few hours now so it could be. It’s been surprisingly clear since I’ve been here. Rivers and lakes are way above normal, but everything looks the same as usual here in Dallas

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG Greg Poole Gotcha…  Is it raining out there?  I know Houston is under water.

  93. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole Eh not a fan of this. Now recruits are going to value how much a school likes them based off if they show up to their grandma’s funeral. Plus, just not a good place for 4 coaches to be for a very different reason than recruiting.

  94. Bansai buckeroo

@MMCSDAWG….trip was good…beautiful weather… Area had really changed from when I was there in the early 60’s….not the Canyon of course…haha…will spend a couple of days in Santa Fe before heading home to Marietta and to a ton of yard work I expect…..Altitude at the Canyon and also Santa Fe is about 7000 ft….a little rough for this old boy from Georgia….a lot of huffing and puffing….. 🙂

  95. RumRunnerDoogie

rugbydawg79 RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole StMarysDawg yea i just remember the last few have been at prime time

  96. AlphaDawg

MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg Greg Poole In Dallas for a conference so my days have been wonky. LOL

  97. rugbydawg79

RumRunnerDoogie rugbydawg79 Greg Poole StMarysDawg Thanks RRD I was afraid of that

Bulldawg Bob2 rugbydawg79 Greg Poole StMarysDawg Well darn, that means the countdown clock is lying to me!  lol

  99. rugbydawg79

Bulldawg Bob2 rugbydawg79 Greg Poole StMarysDawg Thanks BB2 big factor when you live in Winston Salem

Bansai buckeroo Might have to keep the mobile device with you and hope for reception.  probably happening after 4 pm est.  How was the trip to the canyon yesterday?

  101. Bansai buckeroo

I’m here, just hanging around the hotel before heading out to Santa Fe in about an hour….hoping to hear about a commitment before we leave…haha

Bulldawg Bob2 MMCSDAWG Guess I will have to do some stinking work around here today! lol…   Have fun bob!

Did the server go down again???  Dead around here this afternoon.  Everyone patiently waiting on the news of a new commitment?

1mandawgpack MMCSDAWG Kirby knows it too, it frees up the safeties to roam and create turnovers as well.  Before Fitzpatrick got to bama last year, they were missing that steady rock solid DB.

  105. 1mandawgpack

MMCSDAWG 1mandawgpack  These guys are so critical as, with lock down corners who are comfortable being put on an island by themselves, it creates so much more versatility for the rest of the defense not having to assist as significantly in coverage.

  106. CLTDawg

Greg Poole Interesting watch. Hopefully Natrez will be able to do some of these same things for us.

  107. 1mandawgpack

With Poole and LeCounte now committed, it’s going to be interesting to see how the remainder of the dominos fall at DB.  While I realize that the coaches will find a way to take certain of these young men (e.g., Gibbs) even if their recruitment lasts until NSD, that will only be the case for the truly elite.  For the others, the spots are filling up and they are likely going to need to make a decision long before they may wish to get a seat on this locomotive.

  108. CLTDawg

Greg Poole CLTDawg I hope so. He’s paid his dues, and played his tail off every snap last year…which jumped out when compared to Lorenzo or Floyd.

  109. CLTDawg

Bulldawg36 Don’t forget Davin Bellamy. He’s ahead of both Carter and Walker. Stronger against the run as well.

  110. Bulldawg Bob2

Don’t miss out on the live UGA college football recruiting chat tonight at 9 PM ET at Bulldawg Illustrated with Lucas Rogers, Heath Holland and the BD Illustrated Crew!

Bulldawg36 You have a little more confidence than I do, I am concerned about our ability to stop a power running team.  Our DL is definitely our weak link at the moment.  Not much depth and almost no experience.  I did like what I saw from J. Young this weekend.  But, we are still very thin across the DL.

  112. Bulldawg36

Our defense will go as far as Lorenzo and walker takes us!!!! I think we will. Stop the run fairly well. Just need to get more qb sacks this year- can’t allow our secondary to have to cover for so long. No matter how good the CB’s are, if a qb has enough time they will exploit the secondary

  113. Bulldawg36

I think we have a good chance. Sony michel will have a big game I believe. Pittman will have the Ol ready

  114. Bulldawg36

Ah great- seats about 50 people- no air..with roaches crawling everywhere and has the great smell of sewage!!! Heck yeah!!!!

  115. Bulldawg36

The one you end getting in the door with! U0001f600. Naw I really don’t know- never been to the GA dome

  116. Frankly

    Greg Poole
“Will another SEC program crash the six perennial powers’ party? There is no sign of that happening anytime soon either.”

I strongly disagree with this statement from that article.  Ole Miss is putting together enough pieces to contend at some point and I think they will.

PTCDawg I don’t see an Unwinnable game on our schedule…  They are all winnable, however, I don’t believe we will win them all though!  Is that all you got out of the article.. lol

  118. CLTDawg

PTCDawg That kid’s recruitment will go all the way down to NSD, even if he commits somewhere. He’s going to be a good one, though.

  119. Bulldawg36

    I thinks it’s jimmy Felipe Jenkins…10’0 tall…weighs 700lbs and runs a 3.8 40… Benches 2000 lbs and squats 3000lbs!

  120. StMarysDawg

For the UNC game in the GA Dome, which side is GA on.  Trying to figure out the best seats.

1Dawg under God Morning DuG!   Rumor is we are getting a commit this afternoon/evening!  #ATD

Trent Smallwood Mom likes UGA!   Looking Good!  This class could be epic!  Especially in the defensive backfield!

  123. BenKellam

MMCSDAWG Wonder which meal those players that played both sides got to eat? Filet in baked beans?

  124. Dawgnation4

I loved the article with W. Poole over on R&B this morning. The thing I like the most is when he stated that is in a group chat with other commits and silent commits! Silent Commits as in plural, now i just hope they stop being silent and come to life!

Trent Smallwood MMCSDAWG Greg Poole Bansai buckeroo I liked the noon to 2 better! lol!   Thanks man!  I’ll definitely be snooping this afternoon then!

Greg Poole Bansai buckeroo Is there an approximate time frame?  I understand and I respect that about BI and trent!

  127. Greg Poole

Bansai buckeroo @mmcsdawg  Hang tight, guys. You know where not going to step on a kids announcement.

  128. Bansai buckeroo

Good morning chief… if there is a commit, you will need your Orphan Annie decoder ring to find out who it is….##

  129. RobDawg

And just like Smart elevated the football program, Hucks Corner articles have elevated Bulldawg Illustrated. I thoroughly enjoy these articles and how it’s like having a conversation with him across beers at a high top.

  130. RobDawg

See above all my friends who only focus on UGA having young athletes experiencing life challenges… It happens at other schools too

University officials are starting to look at sports income as a source of funds for the university itself:
“The next step might be that we have a more formal passing of athletics now,” Harreld told the Daily Iowan. “For good or for bad, the sports-world revenue in terms of TV, radio, website, fans, the stadiums is a machine. SEC, Big Ten, Pac 12, right? As those revenues have gone up, I think it’s high time that we ask another question — could they actually help deal with those fiscal issues that we’ve got?”
Harreld’s comments come at a time when UI athletics is facing a deficit for the 2015-16 fiscal year.
“Not until June will we know exactly where this year’s budget ends up,” Barta said during an April 7 meeting of the UI Presidential Committee on Athletes. “We know there will be a deficit, and that’s really a combination of season ticket sales and football ticket sales coming into the year, and then this odd dynamic of having this wonderfully successful season and just paying for all the things that go with having a great season.”

This from Virginia Tech running backs coach Zohn Burden was interesting, and something for players to keep in mind.
“So..I Walked in: asked the Janitor about a recruit. He said: ‘bad attitude.’
    “So I walked out.”

Murnin guys! There’s a buzz around Athens right now like I’ve never seen before. I think we really have something special going on and next years class is gonna go down in the history books!

Heading up to Lane Creek for a round of golf, y’all see if you can get a commit today while I am on the road.  See y’all later.

  137. PTCDawg

Just being honest with y’all…it won’t hurt my feelings one bit if Nico Collins signs with the Dawgs.

Thinking we get a commit today after some buzz on Twitter. Either way, hope everyone has a great day!

Jesse1 I get it – it’s too late. for sure. The practice dates question was meant to be off-topic.

  140. Jesse1

Greg Poole Jesse1 Yeah, but think about the logistics this late. Had the decision come down in Feb. we could be deciding on Buford vs Grayson, or Rowsell vs North Gwinnett, or Thomson vs Blessed Trinity.

  141. Jesse1

Greg Poole Jesse1 Glad it’s been brought back. Will still count as one of the 10 practice days.

Greg Poole Jesse1 2017. Too late for this year. Shoot. School is out here in 3 and a half weeks for the kids.

  143. Jesse1

In other news. Yesterday GHSA reinstated the option of member schools playing a spring football game against another team. For years spring games were a staple, and a nice cash infusion to schools hosting the games.  Say Warner Robins vs Newnan back in the day. Stadium was packed. Same with Richmond Academy vs Savannah High. Scrimmages you might not see until playoff time.

  144. Greg Poole

Jesse1 That’s impossible. Did the Stanford coach not just remark that there was no one in the South smart enough to get into Stanford.

  145. Jesse1

Greg Poole Note: The author of the story just happens to be from …..roll the drums…..Savannah! Kid knows the culture. for sure.
