Zion Logue made his college decision Sunday evening. The three-star defensive end chose the Bulldogs over Memphis, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama. With this pledge, Georgia now has 11 commits for the 2019 class.
Logue is a three-star defensive end with a potential to be a defensive tackle from Lebanon, Tennessee. He’s 6-6 and 287 pounds. According to the latest 247Sports Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 42 SDE and the No. 21 prospect in Tennessee. Logue currently holds 27 offers with the most recent coming from Alabama on June 20. During the last few weeks, he visited Purdue on June 22 and Kentucky on June 13.
Georgia offered the three-star back on June 5. He earned the offer after attending a camp in Athens. Ever since then, the Georgia staff has made him a priority. Georgia’s staff appears to be recruiting him at defensive tackle. As one of the most significant areas of needs, he makes a huge pick up for the Bulldogs.
He planned to announce on September 6 but moved it up to Sunday afternoon. With his commitment, he joins Bill Norton on the defensive line who has a similar build to him at 6-6 275 pounds. The Bulldogs look to take two to three more on the defensive line.
With Logue’s pledge, Georgia still has the highest average rating per commitment in the country with a 94.38 rating among the 11 commitments to date. Georgia moves up to No. 11 in the overall rankings. Logue could be the first of many in the coming weeks for the Bulldogs.
