Malaki Starks is a 5-Star Athlete from Jefferson, Georgia. The highly coveted prospect is a do it all type player for the Dragons. The class of 2022 standout has received copious amounts of attention from nearly every single Power 5 program in the country. Just recently the Peach State prospect narrowed his decision making process to 3 schools. Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia are all still in contention for Starks.

Georgia is heavily invested in the recruitment of Starks. He is the type of player that is just undeniable when watching the Jefferson Dragons, an extremely talented and well coached program in Northeast Georgia, play on any given Friday night. Starks plays quarterback for the Dragons’ triple option attack and he also plays a safety/linebacker hybrid type role on defense. Regardless of where he is being used, he is a game changing type talent.

Starks is a solidly built player. Standing 6’2″ and weighing 200 pounds, many are anticipating that Starks will be a strong safety type position at the next level. If he lands on Georgia as his destination in college, it can definitely be expected that he’ll be on the defensive side of the ball. Georgia’s secondary scheme and utilization of players is very diverse and Malaki Starks would be a tremendous fit. At the most I’d say Georgia is very strong here. Clemson and Georgia are both in close proximity to Jefferson, and the communication will be constant from both programs.
