Bulldawg Illustrated’s Lucas Rogers was front and center Wednesday night for our live Georgia football recruiting chat, and if you missed out on the fastest, fun hour on the web, we’ve sifted through all the traffic to pull out all the good stuff; including Lucas’ take on a UGA target currently committed to Auburn, Tray Bishop, and a lot more.

What do you think of 2017 wide receiver Jeremiah Holloman cancelling his in-home visit today with Miami Head Coach Mark Richt?

Lucas: “Pretty interesting. I know he said it was because of weather and that may be so. I think Georgia leads here, though.”

What’s the deal with Trevor Lawrence?

Lucas: “Still same ole same ole with him. Not much info is going to get out. It’s close as can be, and I am guessing a decision will be sometime during spring.”

What about Latavious Brini?

Lucas: “Don’t have him in my predicted class at the moment but his OV could make it interesting.”

Who is visiting this weekend that we know of?

Lucas: “Leonard Warner, Xavier Mckinney, Josh Kaindoh, Monty Rice, and Nate McBride.”

How many wide receivers does Georgia sign?

Lucas: “Trey Blount, Jeremiah Holloman, Matt Landers, Mark Webb Jr., and maybe one more for 5.”

How many corner backs does Georgia sign?

Lucas: “4 to 5 defensive backs. Georgia is recruiting Tray Bishop as DB now, too, and I like our chances there.”

Which linebacker commit/target will be the best college player?

Lucas: “Robert Beal in my opinion.”

How many offensive linemen does Georgia sign?

Lucas: “At least 5. Possibly 6.”

If Georgia does take 5 to 6, then who are they?

Lucas: “I legitimately think things are going really well with Isaiah Wilson, even though I am scared to get hopes up. Also, D’Marcus Hayes (JUCO) may be an option.”

How good is 2018 quarterback Justin Fields? Do you think he could challenge Jake Fromm?

Lucas: “Currently more of a runner than a passer, but he can be really good. Eason will be 3 and out, and by that time, we may not see much of Fromm because he will leave by year 4 in the program, if not 3. So he won’t have to beat him out IMO.”

What do you think of 2017 defensive end Joshua Kaindoh’s de-committment from Maryland the other day and the fact that it just so happens he is also visiting Georgia this weekend?

Lucas: “Looks like he is leaning towards Penn St right now, but let’s see how visit goes.”

How many does Georgia end up signing for the 2017 class?

Lucas: “26 to 27.”

Is 2017 inside linebacker Nate McBride seriously considering Alabama and Oregon or is he all a Dawg?

Lucas: “Considering yes, but I think he ends up at Georgia.”

Is there any chance the Dawgs flip 2017 defensive back Brelin Faison-Walden from Penn State?

Lucas: “That one is interesting. He visited Georgia on October 15th for an official, and then came back for an unofficial visit for the Georgia Tech game. So he’s been visiting, and then Shane Beamer went out to see him.”

What are Georgia’s chances with 2017 defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon now that Harbaugh and Michigan have convinced Solomon’s mom that it’s not such a bad thing to where blue and yellow?

Lucas: “Still think momma wants him close to home. Have him predicted to Georgia at the moment.”

What about 2017 defensive tackle Tyrone Truesdale?

Lucas: “I like him as a player. Let’s see if Georgia offers soon.”

What about 2017 defensive end Malik Herring?

Lucas: “Dawg.”

Got any other juicy recruitng tidbits?

Lucas: “Another player that I really like and think will commit to Georgia is Leonard Warner. Really like his length at the linebacker position. I also believe Tray Bishop ends up flipping to Georgia. I think there will be a couple commits before this week is out, possibly over the weekend.”

Any ideas on who?

Lucas: “Yeah. I have some ideas but won’t reveal that.”

Thanks Lucas!
