Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

RumRunnerDoogie Jesse1 Greg Poole Yes. Cincy is a hot bed of high school talent. And only someone living in a cocoon doesn’t know it.

Crap … 10 strikeouts looking at last strike on us tonight? Sounds like dugout needs to say swing away

Hobnailboot aka RobG I think 247 has him rated as a top 50 player for the 2018 class, but he’s a sophomore in HS right now, so there’s a long way to go.

MMCSDAWG yup its why you bring in Pittman, he will bring in the big bodies. Next for 2018 is Jamaree Sayler

Bulldawg36 Announcers correctly questioning how the Georgia hitters can possible late on a 3-1 fastball. No excuse for that.

Jesse1 Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie cincy is a hot bed of football talent? news to me

Bulldawg36 Tie game. Can’t believe how pitches are thrown in a typical college game. The Bama pitcher in now is all over the place.

dsw61 Maybe Greg Poole can slip it in to a question to Kirby. “Hey coach I noticed that Jacob Eason’s arm slot is a bit lower than other qb’s such as Brice Ramsey, probably due to the lack of shoulder tilt…is this a concern for batted passes?” etc., etc…. haha

Throwing from the angle that Eason does make his 6’6″ frame more like 5’11” and he’ll get more balls batted down at the LOS.

Brooklyndawg dsw61  All QB coaches believe they know how to teach throwing mechanics and I doubt anyone can change their mind. Same goes for hitting coaches. Every hitting coach I’ve ever met believes what they teach is correct. When you point out to them that no successful hitter in MLB does what they teach, they respond with some very creative logic. I can tell what the UGA hitters are being taught based on their movements. It’s very easy for me to recognize. I doubt anyone is going to convince Strickland that the players aren’t being taught to use their bodies correctly. He’ll go down with the ship before he changes what he teaches. I’ve seen this movie so many times I’ve lost count.
