  1. Greg Poole

This is the kid from Anderson, SC in photo below:

  2. PatriotVeteran

DawgByte Greg Poole If Holloman even thinks of playing for AU, he needs his head examined.      If doesn’t commit, he’ll regret it all his life.      COMMIT TO THE G now or someone else will commit first and you’ll be forced to play elsewhere.   It’s your call.    Do what is right Holloman.    GO DAWGS

  3. Richmondawg

Bansai buckeroo Richmond is the civil war, in many ways….live a block off  Monument Ave…..between the Lee and Davis monuments

  4. Bansai buckeroo

Roswell, Ga…some of the pre and post civil war history was pretty interesting but the ghost stuff was silly and boring….

  5. Richmondawg

Bansai buckeroo been to Roswell New Mexico….tourist trap hell..!pretty sand hills outside of town though…

  6. Richmondawg

RumRunnerDoogie Richmondawg watched the UFC prelims, but I ain’t paying for a catfight…

  7. Bansai buckeroo

Well I guess nobody committed while I was out doing a ghost tour of Roswell…. I can report as far as I can tell there are no ghosts in Roswell…none that spoke to me anyway…..

  8. Richmondawg

RumRunnerDoogie Richmondawg watching boxing on ESPN…if Teddy Atlas has an IQ over 65, I’m a freaking Teletubby….

  9. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgDaddy DawgByte if he doesnt step in and demand double teams we might be in for a long season

  10. DawgDaddy

DawgByte Just finished watching it.  Man is Trent Thompson good.  He played very well that game, I guess it was while he was fully healthy.  We need him healthy this year.

  11. RumRunnerDoogie

GaSoldier dont necessarily need one this class, got two of those last class

  12. GaSoldier

Yes, that’s what I’m thinking about. Swift fits the bill of being that versatile back. While we would still need that grind and pound back. Swift is electric

  13. RumRunnerDoogie

JaxDawg yea hes up around 210+ now, i was worried about having two possible smaller backs in carter and swift until i found out he wasnt that small

  14. JaxDawg

I agree, I think Cam would definitely start at UGA and would be a game changer with our QBs taking off the pressure. I think swift is just as good too and would be an amazing 1 2 punch

  15. GaSoldier

Good question, and what I do believe. If you commit to UGA as a RB, and start as a freshman/sophomore. You will have a great chance of being a 1st round draft pick one day. With the history we have, qb’s we have coming in, and Oline.

  16. JaxDawg

Yea but if we possibly have carter and swift by then, would he still feel opportunity at UGA or would he pick a different school that only has 1 RB committed?

  17. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgDaddy RumRunnerDoogie yea but new staff with skinny and this recruiting season isnt even half way done

  18. JaxDawg

I see him starting, it would have been what 10 months since his injury? He should be ready

  19. DawgDaddy

RumRunnerDoogie Said the same when we got skinny and then the same when we got Jake Fromm State Farm.

  20. DawgByte

GaSoldier Agree. I think Chubb is probably 85-90% right now, so I think he’s going to be ready to play against UNC and will probably get around 10 carries.

  21. Avon Barksdale

I see LeCounte kinda as another Dom Sanders and Stevens as a Sean Jones type, Mecole ore like Boykin….not a bad secondary!

  22. DawgByte

GaSoldier Tough question. Depends on how fall practice goes and how Michel’s doing. If I were to guess. No, he doesn’t start.

  23. Lucas Rogers

GaSoldier I think he takes some reps, but they’ll limit him first couple games

  24. Lucas Rogers

Avon Barksdale He’s planning on visiting before decision. Still like Georgia’s chances here

  25. Avon Barksdale

Really love having such a tight knit group of recruits! This defense is going to be nasty! Gotta get Jacoby back on campus maybe alongside LeCounte soon…

  26. GaSoldier

Really impressed with the Oline recruiting, big change from previous staff. I love it

  27. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers MMCSDAWG wait until we tell the team about that job u had..they will call u balloon boy#

  28. RumRunnerDoogie

Avon Barksdale if smart gets lawrence too idk how any top WR wouldnt want to play with him

  29. DawgByte

Greg Poole DawgByte Having Eason and Fromm should be a big sway for a guy like Holloman.

  30. DawgByte

One change I want to see this year over the past is holding the opponents first possession to a punt. Far too many opening drive TD’s given up by Georgia over the last few years.

  31. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgByte RumRunnerDoogie Blakedawg01 his strength is dinking and dunking. once teams found that out they just pressed

  32. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgByte Blakedawg01 well as bad as lambert was playing just cut the losses and dont force it down field

  33. DawgByte

Blakedawg01 2nd and 40 and Schotty calls Douglas up the middle. I’m not going to miss that dude!!!

  34. Blakedawg01

We won because none of Auburn’s QBs are worth a doodoo and they couldn’t hit air if they jumped out of a plane. We should have beat the mess out of them but I’m just glad we won.

  35. DawgByte

Man that face mask call against Auburn late in the 3rd Qtr. that ultimately allowed us to score a TD was a key to victory.

  36. Avon Barksdale

Tell you what, Trey Blount has pretty good size for a receiver, seems to have the frame to put on some good weight too…

  37. DawgByte

We’ve got to shore up the inside of our D. The Wartigers just cut through the middle like a hot knife through butter.

  38. DawgByte

Have I mentioned recently how much I want us to destroy the Vols!?
Watch the 2015 GA vs AU game. In the first Qtr. our DL was porous!!! Lots of 3rd down conversions on AU’s opening drive.

Trying to stay cool now played golf this morning. Changed oil in 3 vehicles it’s Hot!

  40. DawgDaddy

RumRunnerDoogie It did not look as if he really put a lot on it at all.  Impressive.

  41. Bulldawg36

I got a solution. Go for it on 4th down and score more TD’s!! How u doin mmcs?

Just finished re watching spring game. Our kicking game is a big concern for me. I hope the new kid wasson? Has a big leg.

  43. JessCapel

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie Richmondawg Bansai buckeroo All the places where US troops were in WWII got hooked on back then. Big in Korea, Japan, PI, Germany ect but Hawaiians eat more per capita than anyone else.

  44. DawgByte

Greg Poole DawgByte After just watching him throw that bullet in the end zone for TD, I don’t think hand size is an issue. Kid has a rocket arm.

  45. Greg Poole

DawgByte I have shaken hands with him – don’t remember thinking his hand was unusual – unlike Godwin who has your hands.

  46. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole remember watching his periscope and he was just making one handed catches like it was nothing

  47. DawgByte

Greg Poole Is it just me or does Fromm’s fingers look kind of short wrapping around that ball?

  48. DawgByte

BenKellam I agree, this has the potential to be a very special class. We’re heading in the right direction, we’ve just got to translate this momentum to on field performance and victories.

  49. RumRunnerDoogie

Hobnailboot aka RobG BenKellam if carter does pull the trigger tomorrow i feel it will be in coordination with thomas tho. Just not at the same time likely

  50. Hobnailboot aka RobG

BenKellam Hobnailboot aka RobG that would be cool but Rum and I were talking about this yesterday I believe and doubt that anything like that will ever happen, too big a moment to share, if they share it then the spotlight doesn’t really shine that bright on the individual

  51. JessCapel

Bulldawg36 Think the SC game is on either SEC or ESPN classic today…that’s one to give you faith

  52. BenKellam

Hobnailboot aka RobG BenKellam So him and T. Carter Holloman and Britt should all do a joint announcement tomorrow.

  53. BenKellam

That Carter interview might have been one of the most favorable for us that I’ve ever seen in that format for a currently “uncommitted” player. I can’t wait for this class to come together. Recruiting has always been pretty good but this is a whole new level of awesome. BTW, whats the latest on Andrew Thomas? Do we have a commit date yet?

  54. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole gezz i didnt know rivals had him the #8 overall recruit in the country

  55. RumRunnerDoogie

Bansai buckeroo for the breaking news come here not 247# hahahha. going to start chargin yall for this stuff

  56. Bansai buckeroo

Yeah Rummy, I was thinking the same thing….hell that’s old news…hahah

  57. Bulldawg36

I like Jake Rowe….he is cool. Chip towers is back on my good side because he answered my silver britches question

  58. RumRunnerDoogie

dawgmum 1Dawg under God yea this morning it said he isnt committing today so i figured it would be tomorrow not long before or after thomas

  59. Bulldawg36

Man does Jacob Eason have a arm or what? Can’t wait to see him tear up unc!!!!

  60. RumRunnerDoogie

maybe carter is waiting on a aston martin to get there##

  61. rugbydawg79

RumRunnerDoogie Lucas Rogers Who is the big guy on the far right in orange ?

  62. Greg Poole

RumRunnerDoogie Supposedly recruiting all corners and seeing what shakes out.

  63. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie lol our biggest starting DB would be a corner with him then

  64. RumRunnerDoogie

hey greg is gibbs going to be a CB or S in college?  hes listed as a CB but he would be a really big CB

  65. RumRunnerDoogie

Hobnailboot aka RobG RumRunnerDoogie RobDawg especially at that age seeing college girls haha

  66. PTCDawg

Hobnailboot aka RobG PTCDawg thx RobG. that pic makes Poole look taller than I thought he was.

  67. PTCDawg

who is in the snapchat picture right above this comment box? fromm, idk, lecounte, blount, hunter?, idk…

  68. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie RobDawg the co-eds make it very hard to concentrate on anything else

  69. RumRunnerDoogie

RobDawg yea kind of cool to see the town since ive only been twice and the last time i was 15 and was more (rightfully so) into watching the co-eds walking around

  70. Bulldawg36

I just can’t watch any of last years games again. I watched the UGA / auburn game twice already. Would rather watch early 80’s games with Herschel toting the ball

  71. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RobDawg up until Devon Gales got injured…..hate seeing anyone go through an injury like that……I hear he has some feeling in his legs now

  72. RobDawg

Mayflower!!! I met my roommates there everyday at lunch. Comfort food right there. We had our own booth

  73. Colonial Dawg

1mandawgpack RobDawg  “the red thing”????  That’s a maraschino cherry!  I used to just eat them out of the jar!

  74. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie there were a bunch of games that were not fun to watch even though UGA won

  75. RobDawg

I’m glad you guys appreciate my humor. My wife didn’t think it was funny. But then she doesn’t like any movie with Will Ferrel in it either

  76. Richmondawg

RumRunnerDoogie Richmondawg RobDawg Verizon/ESPN must have some kind of side deal…everyone FIOS got it

  77. RumRunnerDoogie

Richmondawg RumRunnerDoogie RobDawg they said the UGA take over is like the 29th of this month. granted seems like today is too haha

  78. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie Hobnailboot aka RobG RobDawg you and me both brotha

  79. RobDawg

I’m hoping we can beat Auburn again today just like last fall. iMac was able to repeat his punt return. Auburn just won’t ever learn. Didn’t they watch the tape and punt away from him this time?

  80. RumRunnerDoogie

Hobnailboot aka RobG RumRunnerDoogie RobDawg considering how chaotic the regime change was im glad smart held together the crootin class and even added some to it

  81. Richmondawg

RumRunnerDoogie Richmondawg RobDawg been watching all day…they actually added it to my cable package for free when it debuted, without even announcing it…I ain’t cryin….

  82. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie Hobnailboot aka RobG RobDawg It all worked out in the end but that didn’t surprise me, he left FSU rather abruptly for a lateral move, I know it’s a little different circumstance but I think in the grand scheme he helped us out overall

  83. Richmondawg

RobDawg some of the pundits keep pushing Dobbs there….from what I’ve seen of him, ain’t gonna happen

  84. RumRunnerDoogie

Richmondawg RobDawg if u get the SECN then the dawgs are on so thats a good enough reason

  85. RumRunnerDoogie

RobDawg well im sure whoever is the RB will automatically be in the running for the heisman

  86. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Richmondawg RobDawg if you are still asleep it may be a little early

  87. RumRunnerDoogie

Hobnailboot aka RobG RumRunnerDoogie RobDawg ehh wasnt that fond of him telling the players he would coach them in the bowl and bolts the next week for a job he couldnt even start till after the NC

  88. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie RobDawg He did us a YUGE favor by calling out the Admin. for lack of support….His time was short but I consider him a DGD

  89. RumRunnerDoogie

so who will win the Jeremy Johnson award this year for having done little previously to being a pre season heisman contention

  90. Richmondawg

RobDawg brutally hot here, so I ain’t going outside if I can help it…biggest decision is when is it too early to start drinking?

  91. RumRunnerDoogie

RobDawg also that was the time that distraction of “PRuitt is getting fired” time

  92. RumRunnerDoogie

JaxDawg really made no sense, a QB with little experience and u throw him out against one of the best Ds in the nation

  93. Richmondawg

RumRunnerDoogie Richmondawg the boy can cook, but he  makes my look sober and responsible…

  94. JaxDawg

And then what we put together for the Florida game sheeshh it was rough. Never thought we’d be left in that quarterback situation

  95. Richmondawg

RumRunnerDoogie Richmondawg If true to form, he’ll turn up drunk after midnight..

  96. RobDawg

Watching the Auburn replay. We had 3rd and 41 in the fourth quarter. 41!!! Fortunately Ramsey punted a 47 yarder after we didn’t make it. We were pretty bad offensively last year weren’t we

  97. Richmondawg

Richmondawg my neighbor borrowed my stock pot earlier this week and didn’t return it…I swear one of these days…ugh…

  98. DawgDaddy

RobDawg Naw, talking pineapple sandwiches, spam, state birds and important stuff like that.  lol

  99. DawgDaddy

RobDawg Heard that on every tour I took over there.  I’m still not sure how to pronounce it or if you even spelled it right.  lol

  100. RobDawg

Maybe Holliman asking permission to wear #3 when he gets here and asking to pose together???

  101. RumRunnerDoogie

Bansai buckeroo yea i figured it had something to do with the huge military presence

  102. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 thats about it for me too, no more spurrier moments will dull it

  103. Greg Poole

DawgByte Greg Poole doubt it. normal mending time for a simple fracture 6 weeks and they pinned it to help speed healing

  104. 1mandawgpack

Richmondawg DawgByte Greg Poole  He’ll wear something to protect it a bit, but by 8 weeks, with the pins/screws they put in it, it should really be almost fully healed by then and will be more psychological than physical, in my opinion.  It will also limit his ability to take hits during camp (maybe the coaches were going to limit his hitting anyway given our depth at RB), but that’s my only other fear is that the UNC game is the first time he’s really taking serious hits and trying to maintain ball security.

  105. DawgByte

JaxDawg Followed by Nauta in the H-back position ramming it through the hole on 3rd and short.

  106. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie  TGIII is a DGD.  I just wish he could have had 1 season without injury/suspension, etc. as he was an absolute beast running the ball and I would have liked to have seen the numbers he could have put up in 1 “normal” season.

  107. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie RobDawg I would have to be knee walking drunk before I could pronounce that

  108. RumRunnerDoogie

Hobnailboot aka RobG RumRunnerDoogie RobDawg dunno if im falling into a gotcha but its just a trigger fish

  109. RumRunnerDoogie

RobDawg humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa ;). not going to lie had to look up the spelling haha

  110. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Greg Poole Hobnailboot aka RobG RumRunnerDoogie Richmondawg Bansai buckeroo No sir, don’t know much about the North other than it’s cold as crap in the winter

  111. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie Richmondawg Bansai buckeroo lmao hell idk. Probably because a spam goes really good with pineapple on a sammich. My guess is it was probably readily available back in the day and was cheaper than imported goods

  112. Greg Poole

Hobnailboot aka RobG Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie Richmondawg Bansai buckeroo ya know the stste bird of New Jersey?

  113. 1mandawgpack

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie Richmondawg Bansai buckeroo  No real meat there – land’s too expensive to use for raising livestock, and it’s too expensive to fly over from the mainland on a daily basis, so processed meat in a can is the only viable option ###

  114. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie Richmondawg Bansai buckeroo It’s more sacred than the state bird

  115. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie Richmondawg Bansai buckeroo fried with some mustard, hell yeah

  116. Richmondawg

Bansai buckeroo my old man was a bologna and pimento cheese man…If for some reason he offered to fix us something to eat when we were kids, thats what it would be…

  117. Bansai buckeroo

Haven’t had a pineapple sandwich in probably 55 years……a definite childhood staple. Must be a southern thing…

  118. Richmondawg

Need to go put my sauce on for later, can’t believe its almost 2 already…

  119. 1mandawgpack

RobDawg  Minus whatever the red thing is on top, my Mom made pear salad that looked just like that when I was a kid (pear half with mayo in the middle and a bunch, I mean a bunch, of grated cheese on top as that’s the only way that us kids would eat it).

  120. 1mandawgpack

RobDawg  Now you’re talking – there’s not much that beats a high-quality tomato on a really fresh slice of white bread with a little mayo added for flavor.

  121. RobDawg

Found a picture to see if it was just us but there are tons of pictures of pear salad as I see it’s called. My mother’s looked more appealing than this but here it is ….

  122. 1mandawgpack

Lucas Rogers 1mandawgpack RobDawg  Thanks for sharing.  If Ramsey doesn’t start this year at QB and our punter starts to pan out, I think he’s gone.  I also think that some of the smaller, undersized OL will see the writing on the wall with Pittman and will seek playing time elsewhere.  Plus, with the Hope Scholarship, CKS has a lot of wiggle room to go to some of the better students on the team and use that as an avenue.  With this being CKS’ first full class, I just don’t see him signing any less than the maximum number that he can, which I think will be closer to 30.  I think the Midnight Mower was on here yesterday and said he also wouldn’t be surprised for the class to approximate 30 players.  I guess we’ll see, but CKS is also an expert at roster management.  I don’t ever see UGA grey-shirting, but I do see the Hope Scholarship as a viable way to manage numbers to free up a few scholarships.

  123. Richmondawg

RobDawg Today is the Hanover county tomato festival up here. Their tomato’s are usually wonderful because of the soil, but with all of the rain this year they might be a bit bland. That place is a zoo…went once and it took 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot and back to the highway

  124. RobDawg

It’s heaven on a homegrown tomato sandwich too. Dukes just has that something extra in its flavor on sandwiches to me

  125. 1mandawgpack

JaxDawg  I think the Pace RB was the feature player in the recruiting thread from yesterday.  Don’t know a lot about him as UGA has been most interested in the big 3 (Carter, Swift & Akers).  Never say never about recruiting, but he seems very interested in Ohio State at the moment and 1 of the 2 local teams could also still get him, so I definitely think he’s the least likely out of the 3 at the moment to choose UGA.

  126. Richmondawg

RobDawg Dukes is made by C F Sauer, of Richmond. I can see their headquarters out my back door. Beautiful old building with a cool lighted sign on top. They grind and mix spices there, but I think the mayo is made down in NC these days.

  127. Lucas Rogers

1mandawgpack Lucas Rogers RobDawg Yeah I mean I know but that is a lot of attrition regardless. I think the class ends at like 27.

  128. 1mandawgpack

Lucas Rogers 1mandawgpack RobDawg  OK – but you’re assuming that players will make a decision to leave on their own.  I think CKS brings a lot of philosophies with him from ‘Bama and if we have 3rd and 4th year players who aren’t in the playing rotation, I don’t think that CKS will have the same tolerance with them as CMR did.

  129. Lucas Rogers

    1mandawgpack RobDawg

  130. Lucas Rogers

1mandawgpack RobDawg Jake Rowe posted an article other day saying we would need like 11 players to leave to sign that many

  131. 1mandawgpack

DawgByte  Why were you having a conversation with a jock strap (athletic supporter)?

  132. 1mandawgpack

RobDawg  1/4 as I say we take closer to 30 in this class.  Keep in mind that our last class wasn’t a complete class (even with the late additions) and we’ve already had attrition on the team (and will have more, for sure), so I think that CKS will find a way to sign around 30.

  133. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie Lucas Rogers  He’s a dang tree stump.  Would love to have that thumper in the middle of our D flanked by McBride.

  134. 1mandawgpack

JaxDawg  We’ll get Swift as he and Webb are a package deal and both want to play in the SEC.  He’s just dragging out the drama and national media coverage until September when he announces at his first game in Cali.  If we miss on Swift and Cam, I think we go after that RB from Pace all out.

  135. Hobnailboot aka RobG

1mandawgpack Hobnailboot aka RobG RumRunnerDoogie RobDawg LOL, we all have our faults

  136. 1mandawgpack

Hobnailboot aka RobG RumRunnerDoogie RobDawg  RobG, with your love of the Dawgs and fishingI was a huge fan of yours until that statement.  PB and Banana is a gift from the Gods.

  137. 1mandawgpack

RobDawg  Thanks for supporting the Flowers Foods family – great company based in God’s country – Thomasville, GA.

  138. RobDawg

How about a half canned pear with big ole dollop of mayo in the cavity, a little fine shredded cheddar and a cherry on top. My mom would serve that as a desert sometimes and I thought it was really fancy.

  139. 1mandawgpack

Greg Poole 1mandawgpack  Don’t think I don’t know that everything is about the almighty greenback.  If Oregon had been wearing Russell Athletic or Wilson uniforms, they would have gotten a much worse ruling from the NCAA on their recruiting violations.  However, the NCAA knew that they couldn’t cut their own throat, so Oregon got off with a lighter penalty than it otherwise would have, for sure.

  140. DawgDaddy

Lucas Rogers His legs look strong, I like RBs to have big legs.  Break more tackles that way.

  141. Greg Poole

1mandawgpack The key is money. Nike put a ton in CFB and it is not directed at one team. NCAA will find a way around its amateurism philosophy when it benefits them.
    Rules are for suckers.

  142. 1mandawgpack

Greg Poole 1mandawgpack  Well it appears the instead of curing the addict, you’ve only made it worse.

  143. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Greg Poole Hobnailboot aka RobG I do, I sometimes work around chillers that use 4160 voltage to run

  144. RobDawg

If you only have crushed pineapple it’s ok but best is the ring slices which you have to tear and interlock the rings to get maximum amount of bread coverage. Just finished my second one. Mmmmm good

  145. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie 1mandawgpack  In the Trey/Jake interview yesterday, Jake did mention how good one of the current college players who is there to help with drills, etc. was.  So, I’m guessing that somehow, there is some way for Nike to use a few players from the teams they sponsor in an ambassador type of role without violating NCAA guidelines.  This is interesting until the first time that a major player ends up getting hurt badly out there, and then the fun will come to an end.

  146. Greg Poole

1mandawgpack There is a discussion about that below. I texted Jake Reuse (he’s there) and he didn’t know how they bypass extra benes on that wither.

  147. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Greg Poole Hobnailboot aka RobG I’ll stick with eating my fruit plain and meat and cheese on my sammich

  148. DawgDaddy

RumRunnerDoogie Hobnailboot aka RobG RobDawg Seriously, I still eat them occasionally but they were a childhood staple.

  149. DawgByte

Greg Poole DawgByte My counter was… if the Dawgs can roll-off 4.5-5.2 yards per carry in the running game that will take the pressure off and the coaches would likely put Eason in the first half. I also said that if going into the UNC game Eason shows excellent decision making in practice he’ll mostly likely start.

  150. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie Hobnailboot aka RobG RobDawg My family never put mayo on fruit. My Pops will eat PB and Banana sandwich but not me

  151. DawgByte

RumRunnerDoogie DawgByte He’ll be back, but not at 100%. Chubb will also be back, but there’s no way he can be at 100% for the UNC game. Rust will be present.

  152. RumRunnerDoogie

1mandawgpack RumRunnerDoogie they have quite a few current college players out there. no idea why they go tho, maybe as extra coaches or something

  153. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie  Nevermind – just scrolled down some more (should always learn to start from the bottom) and see that Gurley and Chubb are both there.  I wonder who pays their travel expenses (Chubb – Gurley obviously has plenty of $).

  154. RumRunnerDoogie

Hobnailboot aka RobG RobDawg if u are from Ga how have u never heard of this sandwich lol

  155. Brooklyndawg

    1mandawgpack Bulldawg36 Thorazine + Valium = !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  156. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie  The one from The Opening?  If so, why would Chubb be there?

  157. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole Lucas Rogers  With this class of DB, which only comes along every blue moon, and CKS’ desire to have long, lock-down corners who he can put on an island by themselves (so that he can free up LBs to do other things and not support the secondary which was what Pruitt did), we’ll definitely take 4 CBs and 2 safeties in this class if we can get those guys who we really want to commit.  We can adjust future classes with lower numbers, but outside of Mecole, I don’t think we have the kind of long, cover CBs on the team currently that CKS demands.  I would almost bet that with our 3 currently committed DBs (2 CBs and 1 safety), if Terrell, Williams, Gibbs and Stevens all wanted to commit (long-shot I know, but just a hypothetical), we’d take all 4 and figure out a way to make the numbers work as both Gibbs and Stevens could be labeled “ATH” instead of DB and we always have a slot for 1 or 2 of those types of guys each year.  These coaches are going to load up on OL (I’m guessing 5 as we’ll hopefully have 4 committed by the end of the day tomorrow), WR (5 minimum if Holloman and Webb both want to commit), LB (4 to 6 as we already have 2 committed and are in the thick of it for a bunch more who I don’t see the coaches turning away if they want to commit ) and DB (6) in this class and will round it out with a few other players (QB, 2 RBs, 1 or 2 DL).  That’s around 25 players give or take and I think we sign between 27 and 30 players this year depending on attrition, players turning pro, etc.  I just don’t see us turning away any of Terrell, Williams, Gibbs or Stevens if they want to commit to the good guys.

  158. Brooklyndawg

DawgByte I have an old athletic supporter with just about the same amount of insight.

  159. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RobDawg I’m not one to shy away from any food but that just sounds awful

  160. JaxDawg

Agreed, a little Chubb here, a little Sony there, and then some Holyfield up the middle!

  161. Greg Poole

DawgByte  He’s hop9ng that is the case and that is the conventional wisdom that most pundits are espousing.

  162. JaxDawg

Agree Chubb and Michel will be back. Gurley was back in time for the NFL when he tore his ACL against a late Auburn game

  163. DawgByte

Lucas Rogers RobDawg Taller and much thicker. Look at that bicep… has a build like a Middle Linebacker.

  164. JaxDawg

Yea I think you are right! He might be the best one we get. Doesn’t look like we get cam and I’m starting to think swift landing at UGA is more played up than we think so there is a chance we miss on him too. We may end up with just Carter this year and trying for 2 again next year

  165. DawgByte

Interesting discussion with a Florida athletic supporter last night. He said with the injury to Michel he expects Lambert to be the starting QB. He thinks Chaney and Smart will want someone steady to anchor the offense now that there’s question marks at both starting RB’s (Chubb & Michel). I can see the logic. He thinks Eason will play against UNC, but probably not until the 3rd Qtr.

  166. Lucas Rogers

1mandawgpack JaxDawg I really like Carter too. Definitely plays so hard competition. Yeah him on kickoff coverage reminds me of Sony

  167. 1mandawgpack

JaxDawg  I don’t know if you’ve seen his video highlights, but most star RBs don’t participate on kickoff coverage and punt block/return (not as the returner).  This kid is phenomenal and plays against some really big kids in Texas, so I’d be thrilled to get him.  If the other two RBs who we’re pursuing are better than this kid (based on rankings/ratings) and we get 2 of the 3 of them, we’ll be set at RB for this class for sure.  I’m a big TC fan and think he might be the best back we get assuming we get him and either Swift or Akers.

  168. JaxDawg

Yea he looked small in his highlights and here too, oh well I think he is an EE so he has time to put on some muscle

  169. Lucas Rogers

dsw61 Greg Poole I think he is leaning Georgia’s way, not because of the shirt though lol

  170. Lucas Rogers

Hobnailboot aka RobG Greg Poole Incredible a dawg night. Best person there when I went

  171. dsw61

Greg Poole  Not a fan of holding the ball so high…but that’s what’s commonly taught out of ignorance. It’s much more natural to hold the ball at about the level of the “G” on his shirt.

“When I first got into the league, I held the ball really high. That was the standard in college, and it messed up my timing a bit — the draw, bringing it back, then the release… You’re taught to get back as deep as you can, but you can never throw the ball out on time when you do that.” — Aaron Rogers

“In Aaron Rodgers’ particular situation, he had a very high ball carriage which I felt there was a stiffness to the way he carried the ball, it wasn’t as natural because he is a very good athlete and it’s something you didn’t see in my opinion in his earlier days, how good of an athlete he was and I think it’s something we’ve adjusted and he’s very natural with it. Every quarterback that I’ve ever coached, you’re always looking to improve their mechanics.” — Mike  McCarthy

  172. Bulldawg36

I hate the South Carolina Gamecocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!&&&!!!&@@$$&!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  173. Greg Poole

I’m sure y’all noticed the shirt Lawrence is wearing in the workout vid posted above and below

  174. Richmondawg

Ugh, glad 2015 season is in the books…that offense was freaking awful! Anyone else notice how often Dom Sanders name got called?

  175. Richmondawg

JaxDawg well, on the bright side, if you’re a Kirby fan, the Gators and Bauta did us a solid that day…

  176. RobDawg

Yeah I’m with you JaxDawg. I had forgotten how inadequate we looked. And the Bauta experiment….

  177. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie Hobnailboot aka RobG Lucas Rogers I agree, that L was not on Lambert at all…

  178. RumRunnerDoogie

Hobnailboot aka RobG Lucas Rogers i was never one to blame that loss on him because outside that one play he was having a career game

  179. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Lucas Rogers It’s a shame that the best pass Lambert threw all year was dropped by R. Davis in that game

  180. PTCDawg

Lucas Rogers PTCDawg Greg Poole Anything can happen. But I note that 8 of our 13 commits are rated higher than the highest rated of the 16 SCar has to date. Their average commit rating is 84.54 and I just dont think a guy like Jamyest would want to be a part of that. Besides, its Columbia for petes sake. :>)

  181. JaxDawg

He’s the best cover CB in this class and maybe the most athletic. No way our staff can say no to Jamyest. Now it’s up to like 5 cbs to the gamecocks

  182. Lucas Rogers

RumRunnerDoogie Lucas Rogers DawgDaddy Not an official date but wants to have it over with before season

  183. Bulldawg36

I see now. My brother wants me to go to Columbia when UGA plays them. But I don’t think I can. I will have to have about 5 Valiums!! Lol

  184. RumRunnerDoogie

PTCDawg RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole Lucas Rogers yea cant say no to terrell.

  185. PTCDawg

RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole Lucas Rogers even if they think they get Gibbs and Stevens, I dont see them telling Terrell no. But maybe. 6 DBs is a lot, but it looks to be a big class.

  186. Greg Poole

Bulldawg36 I’m not sure that I would say that but there is no doubt they want taller DBs.

  187. RumRunnerDoogie

PTCDawg Greg Poole Lucas Rogers always thought clemson was the team to beat for him

  188. Lucas Rogers

PTCDawg Greg Poole Lucas Rogers they were his first offer. He has visited there a lot too

  189. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole Lucas Rogers i cant see  them taking anymore than 2 more DBs in gibbs and stevens

  190. PTCDawg

Greg Poole Lucas Rogers Im just saying if he goes somewhere else, I cant see it being there.

  191. Greg Poole

Lucas Rogers You sceptical about Jamyest? His has been an on/off recruitment with uga

  192. PTCDawg

Lucas Rogers PTCDawg yes, thats what i said, Jamyest. (thx for calling attention to it b4 the edit window expired!)

  193. Bulldawg36

Remember him saying hes gonna kick kirby’s tail. I think he also said that they have a good chance at winning the east. Hate em!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  194. Lucas Rogers

Bulldawg36 It’s never a good thing when a WR is your best QB
(Godwin) and a QB is your best punter (ramsey)

  195. Greg Poole

Bulldawg36 Nah, he will be damping down expectations. It’s gonna be a long year in COLA.

  196. PTCDawg

see 2 CBs for Swift to SCar.  I can see him going somewhere besides the good guys but I cant see it being SCar Good players generally want to play with other good players and he wont get that in Columbia.

  197. Bulldawg36

True. But penn st was awful. The game shouldn’t of never been that close. We had a big lead then we quit playing

  198. Lucas Rogers

RumRunnerDoogie JaxDawg Haven’t watched it yet. At work right now so I’ll try to watch later

  199. Bulldawg36

Sorry but I just couldn’t watch it again. Glad the 2015 season is in the history books

  200. Bulldawg36

I bet will muschamp will be saying the chickens will win the sec at media days. Whatever day he is speaking, I won’t be watching!!!!

  201. DawgByte

Lucas Rogers RumRunnerDoogie If watch the interview above it seems like a done deal to Georgia. He’s already a silent commit to wherever he’s going.

  202. DawgByte

Greg Poole Gurley and Chubb together make a powerful, super powerful recruiting tool for Georgia!

  203. DawgByte

RumRunnerDoogie He needs to just pull the trigger and get on with it. Not sure why he’s postponed.

  204. Bansai buckeroo

The trip was probably paid for by that highly successful lemonade stand he ran in the off season…##

  205. RumRunnerDoogie

JaxDawg kind of looked like him, not that familiar with faces, lucas might know

  206. RumRunnerDoogie

after watching that carter interview i noticed chubb, lecounte, and couldnt see who the other 2 were who kept photo bombing him in the beginning  haha

  207. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole yea its probably a invite only for current players to be a “school ambassidor ” or something like that

  208. RumRunnerDoogie

Hobnailboot aka RobG Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie i think D. watson is out there too

  209. Greg Poole

UGA does receive sponsorship money from Nike, but I doubt they can pay for individual players’ travel. It might be done indirectly by the UGA footing the bill via some loophole.

  210. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie Doesn’t Nike make our unis, could be something related to that since the are a sponsor

  211. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie my guess is the NCAA views it like the national award ceremonies where the school can pay to fly them out

  212. Greg Poole

RumRunnerDoogie Interesting question – I’m not sure a player like Chubb gets this done.

  213. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 well hes already a silent to the school of his choice, so its just timing now

  214. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole do current NCAA players have to pay out of pocket to get to this or does the NCAA allow it as a special event type thing?

  215. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 looks like we will get one, unless someone not expected pulls the trigger too

  216. JaxDawg

I agree, I also think we miss on swift given him shaking his head in his interview with the media asking about him and all this attention with Georgia. I feel like the media pushes him away from us just like Derrick brown

  217. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 i had fun there even with the rain, was talking to these UGA fans who drove from NW Tennessee  to watch the game. The accents they had were so thick idk if it was even english

  218. RumRunnerDoogie

1mandawgpack RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole ive seen 7on7 highlights, i guess those were just warm up games

  219. RumRunnerDoogie

Hobnailboot aka RobG RumRunnerDoogie its crazy to see the amount of freshman they have lined up on D at a given time

  220. Greg Poole

RobDawg  Bob is fine and at last report, Christi was responding well to her treatments. She had no new cancer cells and her kidney is holding up. I sent him a text a couple of days ago and have not heard back.

  221. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole  They’re only starting this weekend.  Because defensive players who don’t play together have such a huge advantage over offensive players who don’t play together, they brought in the QBs, WRs, RBs, etc. (and the DBs were also there) early in the week to work on plays, timing, etc.  The big boys didn’t show until later in the week and I think the 7 v. 7 will primarily be this weekend.  I read that the format changed a bit because the offenses struggled moving the ball based on the “old” format, which makes sense to me for the same reason that defenses tend to be so dominant in the various all-star games.

  222. RobDawg

I have to feel that after watching the video down below with Lecounte and all the others flashing the G logos that Carter is coming

  223. Greg Poole

    How to watch The Opening
    Time: 8 p.m. ET

  224. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie 1mandawgpack  Yea, but 36 stroking out is a given, only the topic/subject will change ###

  225. Greg Poole

1mandawgpack I agree – once they commit, if it is seen a firm, they drop of the national press radar.

  226. RumRunnerDoogie

1mandawgpack yea he seems set, Its a once in a lifetime thing so i cant fault him for waiting longer…even tho 36 will stroke out

  227. DawgLink

Something about when they travel to play in California he will commit that night

  228. 1mandawgpack

Greg Poole 1mandawgpack  I’m ok with that.  These young men have worked hard and it’s a big thrill for them to be so highly sought after.  I think some people think that most of these young men have big egos and love the drama (surely some do), but I honestly think that some of them have good intentions in that they want to involve the community who supported them and helped get them to this point in their lives.

  229. Greg Poole

1mandawgpack  It’s all about the publicity – he said that when he originally changed his commit time.

  230. 1mandawgpack

Carter tweeted late last night that he’s no longer committing today.  The guys over at FS seem to think that it’s just more him trying to find the perfect moment and venue rather than him not being sure of which university he’d like to attend as apparently, he’s already told the coaches at all of his top choices the program to which he intends to commit.

  231. Reddawg13

Good Morning to all my BB’s (Bulldog Buddies) how are ya today? If you get outside be careful and hydrate! Also, “It Damn Sho Can Be Us!”

  232. Greg Poole

Bansai buckeroo Aker is a take regardless, but I thinkSwift will be a Dawg. He is just not ready for the game to end.

  233. Bansai buckeroo

If we get Carter and miss on Swift, do we have a backup plan for Swift or just settle for one running back this year?…..of course I guess Akers could be a silent….. Yeah that must be it.

  234. Score Check

    Greg Poole
After watching this video there cannot be any doubt … He’s all DAWG!!!!

  235. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole I don’t know why he would even think that is a good idea.  One little slip and splat!
