TODAY’S FEATURED PROSPECTS

If position ranking is noted, it is 247 Sports latest composite ranking of the player.

JOHN FITZPATRICK

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 30 TE

HT, WT: 6 foot 6, and 232 lbs

SCHOOL: Marist High School

CITY, STATE: Atlanta, GA

STATUS: COMMITTED TO UGA on 07/13/2017

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 04/18/2017.

# OFFERS: 48

NEWS & NOTES: Georgia offered Fitzpatrick on April 18th, and he visited on 4/22/2017 for G-Day before committing to the Bulldogs on July 13th. While Fitzpatrick may not have a fourth or fifth-star rating, don’t let that skew your perception of the Marist High School TE. He has over 48 scholarship offers and a lot of those are from major FBS programs like Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, and UCLA. Fitzpatrick visited Athens for UGA vs. App State game on Sept. 2nd.

Fitz and the Marist War Eagles are (6-0) on the season and No. 3 in the GHSA Class AAAA state rankings. They will look to notch win No. 7 on the year when they host (5-2) West hall in an important region game.

LUKE FORD

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 2 TE

HT, WT: 6 foot 6, and 250 lbs

SCHOOL: Carterville High School

CITY, STATE: Carterville, IL

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 02/24/2017.

# OFFERS: 30

NEWS & NOTES: Ford was offered by UGA back in February and then committed to Arkansas a month later in March. However, Ford then de-committed from Arkansas on June 10th, reopening up his recruitment. He visited UGA back on July 15th and also visited Texas, Michigan, and Illinois during the month of July. Could Ford be the second TE the Bulldogs are looking to get a commitment from for the 2018 class? I do think he is their No. 1 target left on the board at that position, but I think Alabama may be the team to beat here; although the recent commitment of 2018 QB Justin Fields to the Bulldogs may have turned him back Athens as he has stated more than once that he would like to play with Fields at the collegiate level.

RYLAND GOEDE

CLASS: 2019

POSITION: No. 7 TE

HT, WT: 6 foot 7, and 235 lbs

SCHOOL: Kennesaw Mt. High School

CITY, STATE: Acworth, GA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 07/21/2016.

# OFFERS: 18

NEWS & NOTES: Goede has had an offer from the Bulldogs for over a year, and the Kennesaw Mt. TE visited Georgia for G-day on April 22nd. He also visited Clemson and Auburn in June. Goede visited UGA just a few weeks ago for the Dawgs’ game versus Mississippi State. As of right now, Goede is a heavy Georgia lean, but 2019 NSD is a long way off.

Goede’s high school team, Kennesaw Mountain, is 4-2 on the season and have a tough region game on the road this Friday night, taking on (5-2) McEachern High School, the No. 12 in Class 7A.

ETHAN RAE

CLASS: 2019

POSITION: No. 5 TE

HT, WT: 6 foot 5, and 240 lbs

SCHOOL: Servite High School

CITY, STATE: Anaheim, CA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 04/27/2017.

# OFFERS: 12

NEWS & NOTES: UGA offered Rae back in April. The California high school football prospect is favoring the west coast schools at the moment and that is understandable. But as the 2019 recruiting cycle heats up, it will be interesting to see if Georgia and any of the other programs East of the Mississippi have any pull on Rae.
