Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

RumRunnerDoogie Dawgnation89 I wish, I am working night shift till August 14th. 12 hours shifts 7 days a week! I will need some 151 after this stretch

  2. DawgDaddy

RumRunnerDoogie For sure, he just looks like a LB and he has DB speed to boot.  Would love to see him commit soon.

  4. RumRunnerDoogie

Dawgnation89 ive never put much hope into bama players even with kirby. if they are top talent they wont leave that state

  5. Dawgnation89

Saw where will ignont released a top 4 and we were not in it…I thought we had momentum moving with him.

  6. RumRunnerDoogie

Dawgnation89 i dont think so, jenkins decommitted so to me that makes room for webb and holloman

  7. RumRunnerDoogie

websater RumRunnerDoogie JaxDawg spent the week spraying lawns….was hot as hell and by god im drinkin tonight! nothing like working in a yard in a heat index of 100

  9. RumRunnerDoogie

JaxDawg the fact that he didnt mention tenn which was the biggest contender for UGA i like the chances. not to mention him and lecounte are close

  10. RumRunnerDoogie

PTCDawg RumRunnerDoogie we will literally know nothing about nate, he doesnt talk to media or anything

  11. JaxDawg

So Stevens says he is ready to decide, says auburn is in the mix and one other school, don’t know who it is but hopefully he picks the good guys

  12. PTCDawg

RumRunnerDoogie I wonder how long Nate the Great will Wait for his Date? Hope its not too Late! That I would Hate.

  13. RumRunnerDoogie

JaxDawg no inside info but i think he might pull the trigger at dawg day this weekend, and maybe britt if he goes

  14. RumRunnerDoogie

RobDawg naw, i think its lawrence. webb isnt set to decide till end of august early sept

  15. RumRunnerDoogie

JaxDawg one thing this staff wont do like the previous is under recruit top talent on the lines

  16. DawgDaddy

dang, the t in “this” did not show.  It should read this is a story about him.

  17. RumRunnerDoogie

1mandawgpack RumRunnerDoogie godawgs678 yea i agree, from what ive read hes a yes sir no sir type guy so i doubt pittman will have a issue molding him into the type of OL he wants

  18. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie 1mandawgpack godawgs678  I’m not down on him but not unlike many big guys, I think he’s used his size and sheer momentum to overpower much smaller DL.  He’ll take some work, but if he puts in the effort and listens to the coaches, he could end up being the best of the bunch – just never know how these things are going to turn out.

  19. RumRunnerDoogie

1mandawgpack RumRunnerDoogie godawgs678 im obviously biased since im from brunswick but with pittman i think he will become a hoss.. and imagine netori at one guard and salyer at the other..talk about road graders

  20. 1mandawgpack

Greg Poole  Coach him up so that he can go back up and recruit Swift and Webb for the good guys.

  21. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie 1mandawgpack godawgs678  Pretty solid.  I think the young man out of Brunswick is extremely raw and will be a bit of a project, but should be a solid contributor if he has the chance to sit back, learn and develop for about 2 or 3 years under Pittman and then become a hoss toward the end of his 5 years in Athens (as he’s a prime candidate for a red-shirt and my goal would be for all of these guys to red-shirt as I really think that helps their development deeper into their career).  If we could land Salyer in the ’18 class, we’d be absolutely stacked for a while.  It’s really great that we’re starting to get some of these top OL as it seems we missed out on them for many, many years.

  22. RumRunnerDoogie

1mandawgpack godawgs678  i could be wrong but i honestly think this is the best OL class UGA has had top to bottom since i can remember

  23. 1mandawgpack

godawgs678  I could be wrong (often am), but we are in the enviable position of being able to sit back and go after the absolute highest guys on our board without any fear of failing as, unlike past years, we already have a great (and pretty full) class of high quality OL, so if we weren’t successful for the top guys and either had to go with plan b or simply finished the class with 4, it wouldn’t be the end of the world.  We are a complete 180 with where we were in our pursuit of Tunsil whereby, when we didn’t get him, it really impacted our overall class.
