TODAY’S FEATURED PROSPECTS

If position ranking is noted, it is 247 Sports latest composite ranking of the player.

OWEN CONDON

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: OL – No. 41 OT

HT, WT: 6 foot 7, and 315 lbs

SCHOOL: Bishop McGuinness High School

CITY, STATE: Oklahoma City, OK

STATUS: COMMITTED TO UGA on 06/10/20170.

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 03/16/2017.

# OFFERS: 22

NEWS & NOTES: Condon visited UGA back on March 16th and received an offer from the coaching staff the very same day. Less than three months later, Condon committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. Since then he has been very vocal on social media and behind the scenes helping to recruit the #Rarebreed18 class for UGA. Condon suffered an injury to his right knee in McGuinness’ season opener versus Del City and continued to play on it the next couple of weeks before an MRI revealed that he had suffered a torn meniscus and would knee surgery to repair the injury, thus ending the big man’s senior season. He should good to guy by the spring and summer, though.Condon is a solid verbal commitment to the Bulldogs and was back in Athens for Georgia’s game vs. Mississippi State on Sept. 23rd.

WARREN ERICSON

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: OL – No. 5 Center

HT, WT: 6 foot 4, and 317 lbs

SCHOOL: North Gwinnett High School

CITY, STATE: Suwanee, GA

STATUS: COMMITTED TO UGA on 06/02/2017.

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 02/25/2017.

# OFFERS: 29

NEWS & NOTES: Warren Ericson was offered by the Georgia coaching staff back in February and the North Gwinnett High School offensive lineman committed to UGA just four months later on June 2nd. The 6 foot 4 and 317 lbs Ericson is an aggressive O-lineman who has a nasty streak where he can be seen drive blocking opponents into the ground all the way through the whistle. Ericson could be the Bulldogs next man up at center and he could also end up playing at OG. How solid is Ericson’s commitment to UGA? Is there any change of him waivering and de-committing?

While there is always a chance of a prospect changing their mind before they sign their letter of intent, Ericson is about a solid verbal commit as they come. He was back in Athens for Georgia’s game versus South Carolina on Nov. 4th.

DANIEL FAALELE

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: OL – No. 36 OT

HT, WT: 6 foot 8.5, and 396 lbs

SCHOOL: IMG Academy, Bradenton, FL

CITY, STATE: From Melbourne, Australia

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 01/24/2017.

# OFFERS: 21

NEWS & NOTES: UGA offered Faalele back in January, one of the first 8 programs to do so, and he visited UGA on March 3rd. Faalele participated in Nike the Opening Finals over the summer, and he took an official visit to UGA for the Bulldogs’ homecoming game versus Missouri on Oct. 14th. From his tape, you can see his potential because of his size, but he is still very raw, even more so than Ben Cleveland.

TREY HILL

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: OL – No. 2 OG

HT, WT: 6 foot 3.25, and 346 lbs

SCHOOL: Houston County High School

CITY, STATE: Warner Robins, GA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 06/03/2016.

# OFFERS: 33

NEWS & NOTES: Hill has held an offer from the Bulldogs for over a year. He visited Georgia on Junior Day back on 02/18/2017 and on G-Day 04/22/2017. Who else has the Houston Co. big man’s attention? Hill also visited Auburn twice over the summer and FSU has also made a big push for Hill recently. Hill was at Kearis Jackson’s family BBQ in Fort Valley, GA at Jackson’s commitment announcement on August 19th. Since football season started, he has been back to visit Auburn on an unofficial on September 2nd and then Florida on September 16th.

Hill has also been to visit UGA about as much as Auburn. He visited Athens on Sept. 23rd for the Mississippi State game and again on Oct. 14th for Georgia’s homecoming game versus Missouri. He most recently visited the Bulldogs on Nov. 4th for their 24-10 over South Carolina on Nov. 4th. But he was back at Auburn on Nov. 11th for the Tigers’ big upset win over Georgia. Many have referenced the comments Hill made afterward that said he wanted Auburn to win. Does that mean that he is now a Barn lock?

No. Recruits say all kinds of things on a visit when they are caught up in the emotional high of the game day atmosphere. But this is a big recruiting battle between Auburn and UGA. And Georgia has a limited number of spots. I still think UGA is not out of it here. The Dogs have a lot of recruiting momentum despite the loss and his last several visits to Athens have all been as good as the Auburn visits and made impressions on the Houston County big man. It also cannot hurt that his former high school teammate, quarterback Jake Fromm, is starting for Georgia right now.

CADE MAYS

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: OL – No. 2 OT

HT, WT: 6 foot 6, and 327 lbs

SCHOOL: Knoxville Catholic High School

CITY, STATE: Knoxville, TN

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes.

# OFFERS: 14

NEWS & NOTES: Cade Mays had been committed to Tennessee since July of 2015 but started looking around at other programs with the rumor mill a buzz of Volunteer Head Coach Butch Jones being fired. Then on Nov. 7th, he decided to officially de-committ from Tennessee. He does hold an offer from Georgia and took an unofficial to UGA on Nov. 4th for the South Carolina game, just three days before he de-committed. Cade also plans to be back to UGA for an official visit on Dec. 15th, which will be his fifth and final OV. He also plans on taking officials to Ohio State on Nov. 11th, Clemson on Nov. 18th, Tennessee on Nov. 25th, and Notre Dame on Dec. 8th.

JAMAREE SALYER

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: OL – No. 1 OG

HT, WT: 6 foot 4, and 342 lbs

SCHOOL: Pace Academy

CITY, STATE: Atlanta, GA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 05/07/2015

# OFFERS: 29

NEWS & NOTES: Salyer is another talented Peach State offensive lineman in the 2018 class. He is the No. 1 OG overall and the No. 3 player from the state of Georgia, No. 7 overall nationally. He has held an offer from Georgia for over 2 years. Salyer visited UGA back on G-Day on 04/22/2017. Since September, I mentioned that it looked like it was a Georgia vs. Clemson battle for Salyer, and in an interview with Rivals that has been picked up by other media outlets like Fanbuzz.com, Salyer confirmed that his top two schools are UGA and Clemson.

Salyer visited UGA for their season opener versus Appalachian State on September 2nd and again on September 23rd for the Mississippi State game. He plans to announce his decision after the high school football season and before Christmas during the early signing period in December. So how much of a battle is it for Salyer between the Tigers an the Bulldogs? As of right now, I think Georgia is a heavy favorite to land Salyer. He was back in Athens for the Bulldogs’ Nov. 4th game versus South Carolina on an unofficial visit.
