MEN’S GOLF: Zach Healy Powers Georgia into Second-Place at Ka’Anapali Collegiate

[su_spacer size=”20″] Paced by 54-hole leader Zach Healy, the Georgia men’s golf team fired the lowest round of the day and moved up to second place in the Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic on Saturday.
[su_spacer size=”40″] The 12th-ranked Bulldogs fired a second-round 6-under 278 on Royal Ka’anapali Golf Course on Saturday to move to 5-under 563 for the tournament. Fifth at the start of the day, Georgia shaved Oklahoma’s lead from nine shots to six. The Sooners stand at 11-under 557. North Carolina State stands third at 3-under 565, followed by Cal State Northridge at 7-over 575 and South Carolina at 8-over 576.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Healy, a sophomore, led the Bulldogs on Saturday with a 6-under 66. Junior Jaime Lopez Rivarola had a 14-shot turnaround as he signed for a 3-under 68. Senior Lee McCoy and redshirt freshman Jack Larkin Jr. each carded 1-over 72s. Junior Greyson Sigg had the Bulldogs’ non-counting score of 4-over 75. Playing as an individual, redshirt freshman Matthew Beringer shot his second straight 4-over 75.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Healy holds the individual lead at 8-under 134, three shots better than Grant Hirschman of Oklahoma and Johnny Watts of Ball State. McCoy is tied for sixth at 3-under 139. Sigg moved to 4-over 146, followed by Lopez Rivarola and Beringer each at 8-over 150, and Larkin at 9-over 151.
