Georgia soccer head coach Billy Lesesne announced the team’s 2018 six-game spring schedule with three being played at the Turner Soccer Complex in Athens.

The slate is highlighted by three 2017 NCAA tournament teams, including two that won their conference tournaments. North Carolina represents Georgia’s toughest opponent as the No. 4 team in the country to conclude the season.

“I am looking forward to our spring season,” Lesesne said. “We have exhibitions scheduled against great soccer teams. These games should be a good measure of our growth and development as a program.”

Georgia will begin its spring slate with three games held at the home of the Bulldogs, the Turner Soccer Complex. The first two games are mid-week games on Wednesday, February 21 against Furman and then on Wednesday, February 28 against Georgia State. Both of those matches will begin at 7 p.m.

The Paladins of Furman finished the 2017 season with a 12-5-3 record and reached the semifinals of the SoCon Tournament.

The homestand continues when the Bulldogs welcome the Owls of Kennesaw State, who reached the semifinals of the ASUN tournament, on Saturday, March 24 for a game scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

Georgia will hit the road for a double-header against UNC-Chapel Hill and High Point on Sunday, April 8 in Winston Salem, North Carolina, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.

Like North Carolina, High Point won its conference tournament to advance to the 2017 NCAA Tournament.

The spring schedule will conclude with a friendly against SEC rival Auburn on Saturday, April 14 at 1 p.m. in Auburn, Alabama. The Tigers finished 2017 with a No. 22 ranking after advancing to the second round of the tournament.
