Bulldogs Dominate USCU Spartans, 8-0.

On Wednesday, April 17th the Georgia Bulldogs (No. 9) dominated their home field in their final midweek game against USC-Upstate. The Bulldogs defeated the Spartans in six innings, 8-0.

First pitch began at 6:02pm at the Jack Turner Stadium. Riley Orcutt pitched first for UGA. Orcutt, along with pitchers Lilli Backes and Destin Howard, made for the Bulldogs’ eighth shutout of the season.

Sara Mosley scored the first homer of the game in the fourth inning, a hit that Head Coach Tony Baldwin said got the team “off and rolling” in the game. This was her 13th home run of the season, and her 58th home run in her career. Jayda Kearney and Sydney Chambley scored off Mosley’s RBI, which put the Bulldogs up 3-0. Shortly after, Jaydyn Goodwin scored off another RBI, hit by Sydney Kuma (4-0).
