Ian Forlini Takes Fifth In UGA Diving Invitational

 

Ian Forlini came in fifth on men’s 1-meter springboard to highlight Georgia’s showing in the UGA Diving Invitational on Monday at Gabrielsen Natatorium.

 

After capturing 332.70 points in prelims, Forlini notched 328.10 points in the finals for fifth place. Tennessee’s Mauricio Robles Rodriguez claimed first with 386.30 points.

 

Crawford Berry also made the finals for the Bulldogs. He scored 317.95 points in prelims, then posted 285.60 points in the finals to come in 12th.

 

Also for Georgia, Spencer Madanay took 14th with 227.45 points and Walker Wheeler finished 27th with 234.35 points.

 

In women’s 3-meter, Olivia Ball came in ninth with 274.55 points. Top honors went to LSU’s Cassie Weil with 324.50 points. Allison Greene finished 40th with 209.10 points for the Lady Bulldogs.

 

The UGA Diving Invitational will continue on Tuesday with women’s platform at 10:30 a.m., followed by the men at approximately 1:30 p.m. There is no cost for admission. Live results can be found at DiveMeets.com.
