SWIMMING AND DIVING: Bulldog Divers Ready for Zone B Championships

Divers form the Georgia swimming and diving team will be competing Monday through Wednesday in the NCAA Zone B Championships at Georgia Tech’s McAuley Aquatic Center.
 
 
The Zone B event marks the only way divers can advance to the NCAA Championships March 16-19 for the women and March 23-26 for the men. The NCAAs also will be held at Georgia Tech. Georgia has 12 female swimmers already qualified for the NCAAs, while the men’s qualifiers will be confirmed this week.
 
 
Competing for the Lady Bulldogs in the Zone B Championship will be Olivia Ball, Madison Duvall, Allison Greene, Kelley Thatcher and Natalie Wallace. Crawford Berry, Ian Forlini, Spencer Madanay and Walker Wheeler will be representing the Bulldogs.
 
 
Joining Georgia’s divers will be student-athletes from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, Duke, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, North Carolina State, South Carolina, Clemson, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida International, Florida State and Miami.
 
 
The Zone B Championships will start Monday at 11 a.m. with women’s 1-meter springboard, followed by men’s 3-meter. On Tuesday, the men’s 1-meter will begin at 11 a.m., followed by women’s 3-meter. The men’s and women’s platform events will kick off at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
