Courtney Harnish and Camden Murphy of the Georgia swimming program have been chosen as the Southeastern Conference Freshmen of the Week, according to an announcement Tuesday by the league office.

Harnish, a native of York, Pa., earned the honor for the second time this season. In Georgia’s wins at Wisconsin on Thursday and at Northwestern on Friday, Harnish won four individual events and was on two victorious relays. She claimed the 200 and 500 freestyle against Wisconsin and the 1,000 freestyle and the 200 backstroke versus Northwestern. She also helped the Lady Bulldogs win the 400 freestyle relays in each meet.

Murphy, a native of Novi, Mich., won three individual events and was on two winning relays. He swept the 100 butterfly races and took the 200 butterfly against Northwestern. Murphy also helped the 200 medley relays win each day.

Georgia will return to action this week at Florida. The 1-meter diving competition will take place Thursday at 6 p.m., followed by swimming and 3-meter springboard Friday at 10 a.m.
