Georgia’s final home game of the 2019 college football season and UGA is hosting Texas A&M all the way from College Station out West. The Bulldawg Illustrated staff have your score predictions for the Dawgs vs. the Aggies.
Jeff Dantzler: Georgia 23 – Texas A&M 22
“Dawgs 23-22”
Rebecca Gemes: Georgia 24 – Texas A&M 10
“While the Aggies have talent, the Dawgs are ready to play and seniors are ready to go out with a bang. Not walking into Mercedes Benz with another loss! 24-10 – Dawgs.”
Josh Hancher: Georgia 38 – Texas A&M 20
“Dawgs offense finds it’s groove and gets the ground game going giving us more scoring chances. Defense holds yet another team under 21. UGA 38 A&M 20”
Caroline Kinney: Georgia 31 – Texas A&M 17
“Dawgs Win,31-17! Georgia’s momentum continues after their triumph on the Plains. Dawgs will put up an impressive show on the ground and in the air. The defense will continue their consistent performance against the Aggies.”
Cheri Leavy: Georgia 31 – Texas A&M 17
“Ditto to Caroline, Dawgs win 31-17! Defense does their job well like they have been all season but it’s another grinder! Andrew Thomas for some big blocks against their D. Seniors like JR Reed, Rodrigo, and Charlie Woerner have big final games on Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium!”
Vance Leavy: Georgia 17 – Texas A&M 14
“The Aggies travel to Athens playing their best football of the year. This one is scary folks, but the Dawgs find just enough soggy scores to win the game. Georgia 17 Texas A&M 14.”
Lance McCurley: Georgia 30 – Texas A&M 17
“I think Georgia will prevail 30-17. It will be a game like last week where the Dawgs dominate on offense in the first, but go stagnant in the second half. Defense makes some big stops on Mond.”
Bob Miller: Georgia 27 – Texas A&M 20
“The UGA offense will face the fourth-best defense they’ve had to go up against this year when they take on Texas A&M on Saturday. The Aggies are ranked 25th in total defense and 23rd in points allowed. Auburn, Florida, & Missouri have been better as far as the Dawgs’ opponents go, but the Aggies are an athletic and talented bunch; so, I’m not sure about UGA being favored by 14. If it does rain on Saturday, it should play into Georgia’s favor, but I expect the game to be closer than people think. Give me the Dawgs by seven, 27-20.”
Matthew Pasek: Georgia 24 – Texas A&M 10
“Once again steady rain is in the forecast for a game at Sanford Stadium. If the forecast holds true passing yards will be difficult to come by and whoever establishes the running game will win. Kellen Mond presents a huge challenge for the UGA defense with his athleticism but the Junkyard Dawg defense is on a mission. The UGA offensive line plays their best game of the season and dominates the Aggies. UGA 24 – Texas A&M 10”
Greg Poole: Georgia 45 – Texas A&M 00
“45 – 0 without any concrete reason. Georgia is fielding a talented offense, but one that has suffered growing pain with many of those aches being self-inflicted. TAMU has struggled to stop the run – Georgia runs. Dawgs roll.”
Murray Poole: Georgia 28 – Texas A&M 17
“Which defense will best stop the other’s running game at a rainy and wet Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium on Saturday? That should be Georgia’s as the Bulldogs are third in the nation in rushing defense (giving up just 75 yds. per game) while the Aggies rank only 36th (132 per game). But Texas A&M, with Kellen Mond at quarterback, can also throw the ball; thus, Georgia’s SEC-leading defense will need to be on point once again. The Bulldogs are already in the SEC Championship Game, yes against LSU, but can’t afford an upset loss here and stay alive for the college football playoffs. So it’s 28-17 Dawgs, in a game closer than that 11-point margin will indicate.”
