The University of Georgia’s Stegeman Coliseum is going to have a new look this fall. J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics for the University, Greg McGarity, announced in an email that went out to donors on Monday that construction will begin on phase II of improvements to the multi-use facility beginning in May with a targeted completion date for early this fall.

“We can’t wait to start construction of the Phase II improvements to Stegeman Coliseum. Work on these enhancements will begin after Commencement in May 2017, with completion in the early fall of 2017. Plans for this project are moving right along. Here are some renderings of the improvements which include a new center-hung video board, new lighting and sound system, and new seats throughout the coliseum”
