ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia’s swimming and diving teams capped off the dual meet portion of the 2015 season with a pair of wins over Emory on Friday at Gabrielsen Natatorium.
[su_spacer size=”40″] The third-ranked Bulldogs outscored the Eagles 180.5-86.5, while the No. 3 Lady Bulldogs topped the Lady Eagles 180-115. Both Georgia teams improved to 4-0 on the season.

The Lady Bulldogs extended their UGA all-sports record to 97 straight dual or tri meet wins at home dating back to Nov. 8, 1995. The Lady Bulldogs also sit at 26-0-1 in their last 27 dual meets.
[su_spacer size=”40″] “I was happy again with what I saw from the men and the women,” Georgia head coach Jack Bauerle said. “Our teams are really coming together well. Everyone stood up and raced hard today. That’s what we ask of them every time we swim and that’s exactly what they’ve done these first four meets.”
[su_spacer size=”40″] Matias Koski recorded an impressive trio of wins in the 100- and 1,000-yard freestyle races and the 100-yard butterfly. He swept the 100 and 1,000 freestyles with times of 44.60 and 9:15.21, respectively, and he got to the wall in 48.86 in the 100 butterfly.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Crawford Berry swept the diving events, earning a score of 320.78 on the 1-meter springboard and 384.30 on the 3-meter. James Guest won both the 200-yard breaststroke and 200-yard individual medley, reaching the wall in times of 2:01.85 and 1:51.98, respectively.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Other Bulldog winners included Michael Trice in the 50-yard freestyle (20.02), Mick Litherland in the 200-yard freestyle (1:40.28), Aidan Burns in the 500-yard freestyle (4:27.14), Blake Atmore in the 100-yard backstroke (50.18), Garrett Powell in the 200-yard backstroke (1:48.12), Ty Stewart in the 100-yard breaststroke (57.45) and Jay Litherland in the 200-yard butterfly (1:48.45).
[su_spacer size=”40″] The Bulldogs also swept the relays. The combination of Burns, Guest, Jay Litherland and Alex Bemiller won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:32.70. Bemiller, Trice, Powell Brooks and Mick Litherland out-touched the competition in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:22.53.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Emily Cameron, Hali Flcikinger and Olivia Ball paced the Lady Bulldogs with two victories each. Cameron earned wins in the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:55.60) and the 100-yard butterfly (55.95). Flickinger took the 100-yard freestyle in 49.90 and the 200-yard individual medley in 1:68.44. Ball swept the diving events, posting scores of 337.13 and 322.95 on 1- and 3-meter, respectively.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Other Lady Bulldog victories included Samantha Fazio in the 50-yard freestyle (23.82), Annie Zhu in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.35), Stephanie Peters in the 500-yard freestyle (4:48.57), Olivia Smoliga in the 100-yard backstroke (53.39), Megan Kingsley in the 200-yard backstroke (2:01.42) and Kylie Stewart in the 200-yard butterfly (1:58.66).
[su_spacer size=”40″] The Lady Bulldogs captured both relays as well. Smoliga, Anna McKenzie, Anna Kolanowski and Peters finished with a time of 1:44.42 in the 200-yard medley relay. Smoliga, Stewart, Fazio and Rachel Zilinskas combined for a time of 1:34.78 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
