The University of Georgia swimming and diving teams will conclude the regular-season portion of their schedule today as they host Emory and will recognize senior team members in a pre-meet ceremony.
Today’s meet at Gabrielsen Natatorium will get under way at 11 a.m. There is no cost for admission.
Senior swimmers Emily Cameron, Pace Clark, Taylor Dale, Kimberlee John-Williams, Chase Kalisz, John Mattern, Chris Powell, Olivia Smoliga, Chantal Van Landeghem and Rachel Zilinskas; divers Kelly Thatcher and Walker Wheeler; and team managers Cody Dorsey and Elizabeth Ann Kirkland will be recognized in a pre-meet ceremony.
“We want to send our seniors out of their final home meet on a positive note,” Georgia head coach Jack Bauerle said. “They have meant so much to our program throughout their careers and they will continue to lead us as we head to the SECs and NCAAs. This is always a bittersweet meet for all of us. You almost start missing them before they’re gone.”
Georgia’s squads will compete in the SEC Championships in Knoxville, Tennessee, February 14-18, followed by the NCAA Zone Diving and NCAA Championships in March.
