Georgia swimmer Olivia Smoliga won a silver medal at the Pan Am Games on Frida.[su_spacer size=”40″]
Smoliga, a rising junior, came in second in the women’s 100-meter backstroke by posting a time of 1:00.06. Etiene Medeiros of Brazil claimed the top spot with a Pan Am Games record time of 59.61, topping the 1:00.35 Smoliga set nine hours earlier during the prelims. American Clara Smiddy was third in 1:00.49.
