Woerner signed with the Bulldogs as part of UGA’s 2016 recruiting class out of Rabun County High School in Tiger, GA. In four seasons with the Dawgs, Woerner played in over 54 games for Georgia at tight end, starting a 19 and 14 of those starts came his senior year this past season in 2019. He finished his collegiate student-athlete career with 34 receptions for 376 yards and 1 touchdown.
Crowder was part of former Georgia head coach Mark Richt’s final recruiting class in 2015, signing with the Bulldogs out of Harris County High School in Pine Mountain, GA.
He originally was recruited as a running back, and after redshirting in 2015, switched to defense to inside linebacker mid-season in 2016. Crowder made a name for himself on special teams and worked his way into the linebacker rotation. In all, Crowder played in 44 games for UGA, making 122 stops, including 10 tackles for a loss, 1.5 quarterback sacks, 1 forced fumble, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 interception, and 7 passes defended.
Kirby Smart released videos via Twitter reminiscing on both Crowder’s and Woerner’s time at the University of Georgia after they were drafted on Saturday.
