The future NFL Dawgs had great weekend at the NFL Combine as Georgia had the second most invites in Indianapolis

14 Dawgs received invites to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. Names like Tate Ratledge and Jared Wilson on the offensive line increased their draft stocks in interior offensive linemen standards while Arian Smith blazed the 40-yard dash and Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins showed off his athletic prowess in multiple categories.

Before focusing on all those that succeeded at the Combine, we must give our respects to Dan Jackson. The fifth-year senior safety, despite being one of the best defensive backs in the SEC in 2024, did not receive an invite to the Combine. A shame to say the least and Bulldog teammates like Warren Brinson, Malaki Starks, Ingram-Dawkins, Mykel Williams and Smael Mondon took to the mic to express their concerns on why he wasn’t there.

“Dan Jackson has better stats than the majority of the safeties here,” said Brinson via Dawg Nation/X.com.

“If you get Dan, you get the whole package,” added Starks via Dawg Nation/X.com. “When you look at Dan, there’s nothing that he can’t do. He’s smart. He can cover. He can get in the box… he’s very physical. I think he’s a gem for sure.”

Despite “Dirty Dan’s” snub from the Combine, the names aforementioned and all 14 Dawgs had great showings in front of all 32 NFL teams’ scouts.

Ratledge and Wilson earned the top athleticism scores from the combine—both with a 98. Wilson’s 9.98 Relative Athletic Score ranked No. 2 out of all 622 centers who have participated in a Combine since 1987. His 4.84 40-yard dash was the fastest time from a center in Combine history and the fifth fastest time by an offensive lineman. He is 6’3”, 310 pounds… Jared Wilson made himself some money.

Ratledge took the internet by storm as his mullet flew through the wind while he ran a 4.97 40-yard dash and earned a 9.97 Relative Athletic Score.

All these numbers, rankings, etc. might not make too much sense, but needless to say, this means these guys increased their draft stock and will be some Damn Good Dawgs in the NFL one day.

Ingram-Dawkins made some of the biggest waves among Dawgs, running a 4.86 40-yard dash (second among defensive linemen), as well as running a 4.34 20-yard shuttle and 7.28 three cone drill (first among DL for both categories), and jumping 36” in the vertical and 10’4” in the broad (first among DL for both categories).

As goes for the two highest rated draft prospects: Jalon Walker and Mykel Williams, neither of them participated in any combine drills. Both went to the mic and will participate in UGA’s Pro Day come March 18.

Trevor Etienne left a mark of more than just pure athletic ability but a never give up mentality. The elite running back already has NFL history in his blood as his older brother Travis Etienne is the star RB for the Jaguars. Little bro wants to make a name for himself though, and social media took notice. After stumbling on his start, Etienne didn’t quit and still ran a 4.43 40-yard dash. That’s something special!

Other notes from the Combine weekend include Arian Smith’s blazing speed, but his speed isn’t just what caught the eyes of NFL scouts and Combine viewers. Following the conclusion of day three, Smith ran to the far end zone of Lucas Oil Stadium and whipped out a roundoff into a backflip. He’s not your everyday speedster… he’s an athlete!

With Draft Day inching closer, we will be giving a full in-depth Draft breakdown for all the Dawgs projected to make a splash in the four-day affair! Stay tuned!
