On Saturday, during the fourth quarter of the All-American Bowl Game in San Antonio, Texas, Kelee Ringo announced that he has committed to and signed his National Letter of Intent with the University of Georgia.
Ringo joins Major Burns and Jalen Kimber as UGA’s defensive back signees so far in the 2020 recruiting class and the Bulldogs stand with 19 signees and an additional two unsigned verbal commits currently. Ringo also joins linebacker Mekhail Sherman and tight end Darnell Washington as part of the club of five-star prospects the Bulldogs have signed this recruiting cycle per 247sports composite rankings.
And it isn’t just 247Sports that rates the 6-foot-2 and 205 lbs defensive back out of Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, AZ a five-star prospect, Ringo is also considered a five-star by Rivals along with ESPN. He is considered one of the top two cornerbacks and one of the top-10 prospects nationally in the 2020 recruiting class. He is a gamechanger on the football field. While this adjective is often overused in describing players and recruits, it applies to Ringo and probably understates the impact he has had for his high school on the field.
