Georgia golfers Connor Creasy, Spencer Ralston, and Davis Thompson will compete in the Jones Cup Invitational this weekend. The prestigious amateur event will run Friday through Sunday at Ocean Forest Golf Club in Sea Island, Ga.
Ralston and Thompson will be paired together in the first round and will tee off at 10 a.m., followed by Creasy at 10:40 a.m. Second- and third-round pairings will be determined by the previous day’s results.
Creasy, a freshman from Abingdon, Va., appeared in three tournaments last fall for the Bulldogs. He came in 11th in The Carmel Cup.
Ralston, a senior from Gainesville, Ga., is a two-time All-American and All-SEC selection. He posted three top-20 efforts during the fall portion of the schedule, highlighted by an eighth-place effort in The Carmel Cup. Ralston is slated to compete as an amateur in the PGA Tour’s RBC Heritage in April.
Thompson, a junior from Auburn, Ala., was the runner-up in the 2019 Jones Cup Invitational and earned a sponsor’s exemption for the PGA Tour’s RSM Classic. Thompson led the Bulldogs in the fall with a 69.47 scoring average and he notched his second career victory in the Jim Rivers Invitational. He was an All-American and an All-SEC performer a year ago.
