Georgia has beaten the Missouri Tigers earlier in the season and last week dispatched the Wildcats of Kentucky. Can the Bulldogs make a trifecta against teams with a kitty cat mascot? We’ll find out on Saturday, but they will have a tall task on hand in order to do so. Here are some Tigers to watch in this one.

CARL LAWSON (DE, #55)

Lawson, a 6-2, 253-pound junior from Alpharetta, Ga. (Milton High School) teams with fellow Georgian Montravius Adams to wreak havoc on opposing offenses. Both are solid All-SEC candidates as well as being potential high picks in the NFL draft next year. Lawson possesses the strength and quickness to stop the run and also is able to bring the pressure on opposing quarterbacks when they drop back to throw the football. When the Tigers prowl between the hedges Saturday, the Bulldogs’ offense will have its work cut out in dealing with both Lawson and Adams.

SEAN WHITE (QB, #13)

White beat out fellow quarterbacks John Franklin and Jeremy Johnson to become the leader of the Tigers’ offensive unit this fall. And the 6-0, 200-pound sophomore from Boca Raton, Fla. has been both steady and efficient, completing 68 percent of his pass attempts in balancing the Auburn attack with the running of Pettway and Johnson. He threw for 247 yards in the key win over Ole Miss.

MONTRAVIUS ADAMS ( DT, #1)

The other half of Auburn’s “twin terrors” up front, Adams (6-4, 309, Sr.) is regarded as one of the best nose tackles in the land. Hailing from Dooly County High in Vienna, Adams’ strength and quickness off the ball is a perfect complement to the play of Carl Lawson and has helped Auburn’s defense to rank among the top five teams in the SEC. You can bet both of these Georgia products will be pumped to play against their home state team at Sanford Stadium Saturday.
