After the 2023 season, Coach Smart and his staff said goodbye to key offensive players like Brock Bowers and Ladd McConkey to the NFL Draft. However, the Bulldogs retained and acquired many key players to help keep the offense explosive ahead of the much anticipated 2024 season. Here’s a list of the Dawgs’ top 12 Offensive Players of 2024.

1 Carson Beck (#15, QB)

This Heisman trophy candidate will be the most influential player for the Bulldog offense. He threw for nearly 4,000 yards last year with 24 touchdowns, leading his team to an undefeated regular season. After falling short of a national title, Beck will be given the opportunity to lead his team right back into the mix with a stacked wide receiver room and solid running backs surrounding him. He will likely enter his final season under center as a Bulldog before heading to the NFL Draft, where a breakout performance this year will only help his draft stock.

2 Dominic Lovett (#6, WR)

After transferring from Missouri prior to his junior year, Lovett had a solid first season in Athens with over 600 receiving yards and four touchdowns. With Ladd McConkey absent from the wide receiver room, Lovett seems to be the top candidate for Beck’s go-to guy out wide. The senior will be given the opportunity to be a leader of this offense alongside Beck to help keep the squad going through a challenging season ahead.

3 Dillon Bell (#86, WR)

With the well-known players of last year’s team, Bell went a bit under the radar last year, tallying over 500 total yards of offense. His versatility as a receiver and a ball carrier will help him be a dangerous threat to opposing defenses this upcoming season. With the offense needing to find a reliable player, look for the junior to be that piece for this offense.

4 Oscar Delp (#4, TE)

Bulldog Nation had to say goodbye to Brock Bowers, one of the best players to wear the red and black in recent memory. However, Bowers nursed an ankle injury throughout portions of the season, which gave Delp the opportunity to see quality playing time. He caught three touchdowns on 284 yards receiving during his limited time on the field. Though he will have big shoes to fill, he can take his knowledge playing behind Bowers to be a key piece of this offense as a starter.

5 Rara Thomas (#9, WR)

After spending his first two years at Mississippi State, Thomas was a big part of last year’s scheme, catching 23 passes for 383 yards and a touchdown. With three years of SEC experience under his belt, the senior will be given the opportunity to lead alongside Lovett in the locker room as someone who knows what it takes to win in the most challenging conference in football.

6 Trevor Etienne (#1, RB)

With a running back room wide open after the departure of Daijun Edwards and Kendall Milton, Etienne will be given the opportunity to shine in Athens after transferring over from Florida. Last year as a Gator, he rushed for 753 yards and eight touchdowns. Look for him to be a reliable back for Beck’s offense that has plenty of experience playing against SEC defenses.

7 Colbie Young (#8, WR)

One of Coach Smart’s best portal finds, this transfer wideout will have an immediate impact on this offense. In two seasons at Miami, he had nearly 1,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Though he will be a new face to the offense, his past experience at the collegiate level will help him lead this offense and be yet another piece of an extremely talented wide receiver room. Once he finds his connection with Beck, he could be in for an amazing season.

8 Tate Ratledge (#69, OL)

The offensive line consists of some of the most underappreciated players on the team. This year, a few major starters make their return. Tate Ratledge, Dylan Fairchild, and Earnest Greene III will be vital leaders in the offensive line group. Surrounded by other experienced linemen such as Xavier Truss and an athletic new starting center in Jared Wilson, Beck should have no problem navigating the pocket.

9 Branson Robinson (#22, RB)

After missing the 2023 season with a knee injury, the redshirt sophomore will be looking to make his presence known once again in this offense. Back in 2022, he rushed for 330 yards on 68 carries with three touchdowns. Keep an eye out for this former five-star to break out early on and become a quality RB2 that the team can count on as the season goes.

10 Jared Wilson (#55, OL)

With the departure of center Cedric Van Pran this past year to the NFL Draft, Wilson will be the likely replacement. The junior hasn’t seen the field much during his time in Athens, but had the ability to sit and learn from the knowledgeable and skillful center that Van Pran is. Bulldog Nation should be excited to see what he can do to keep the offense running smoothly throughout the year.

11 Benjamin Yurosek (TE)

Another transfer portal snag, this former Stanford Cardinal will be a sneaky player to watch this fall. The graduate-senior has over 1,000 yards receiving in his collegiate career. With how much Georgia’s coaching staff loves to use tight ends, Delp and Yurosek could see a lot of playing time to complete this loaded offensive regime.

12 Michael Jackson III (#13, WR)

Rounding out the wide receiver class is a player who has just under 500 receiving yards in three previous seasons with the USC Trojans. He will have to play his way into playing time. However, with this being his senior year, the transfer will likely become a fan-favorite in the hearts of Dawg fans in 2024.
