Sophomore Kendal Williams led the Bulldog track and field teams at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, presented by Spectrum, in Austin, Texas, as he broke the 10-second barrier in the 100-meter dash on Saturday.
 
 
Williams, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., won the men’s 100m in a blistering 9.99 wind-aided time, which would have been a school record. A First-Team All-American in the 60m during the indoor season, Williams nearest competitor finished at 10.08. On Friday, Williams also posted the nation’s leading time in the event, posting a 10.06 and the third-fastest time in school history.
Jessica Drop, a freshman from Durham, Conn., placed fourth in the 1500-meter run with a personal-best 4:25.89. Drop’s time leads the women’s team this season and places her tenth on the school’s all-time list.
 
 
Senior Maurice Freeman posted a 21.18 in the 200m to open his outdoor season for the Bulldogs. His time placed him eighth and leads the Bulldogs this season.
Georgia will return home for its first home meet of the season next week. The Bulldog Decathlon/Heptathlon starts on Wednesday at the Spec Towns Track beginning at 1 p.m. and runs through Thursday.
