A national leading two women from Georgia’s track and field team have been included on the pre-NCAA Outdoor Championships version of the Bowerman’s Watch List.
 
 
Kendell Williams and Keturah Orji are two of the 10 women on the list for the award, which is considered track’s version of the Heisman Trophy. No other school has more than one candidate and this pair helps make up five of the Southeastern Conference competitors on the list.
 
 
Orji was a 2015 semifinalist for the Bowerman while Williams was a 2014 semifinalist. Williams has also been included on the Watch List 16 times in her career, topping everyone else on the list.
 
 
Williams, a native of Marietta, Ga., won the pentathlon title at the SEC Indoor Championships and then won her third consecutive NCAA title in the event. Not only did she finish first at Nationals, but she also tallied her third straight collegiate record in the pentathlon. Outdoors, Williams is aiming for her third top-three finish at the NCAA meet after capturing the 2014 crown and taking second last year.
 
 
Williams starts the heptathlon at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Friday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
 
 
Orji, a native of Mount Olive, N.J., has competed eight times in the triple jump during the 2016 indoor and outdoor seasons and won all of them, including two SEC titles and the NCAA indoor crown. Indoors, she went 46 feet, 4 inches to win the national championships and has the sixth, seventh and eighth best jumps in NCAA history.
 
 
Outdoors, Orji set the collegiate record of 46-10.75 at the NCAA East Prelims, matched the all-conditions, all-time collegiate best (47-10.75) during the SEC Championships and owns the first, sixth and seventh best jumps in collegiate history. In addition, Orji was a First Team All-American in the long jump indoors and won the East Prelims in the event to also qualify outdoors.
 
 
Orji will long jump at 9 p.m. on Thursday before returning in the triple jump at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
 
 
Georgia starts the NCAA Championships on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. ET with the start of the first five events of the decathlon. Orji and her teammate Chanice Porter will start the action for the Lady Bulldogs on Thursday at 9 p.m. in the long jump.
