Two University of Georgia football mid-year enrollees recently underwent surgical procedures to repair pre-existing conditions.

Defensive end Natrez Patrick of Atlanta injured his left thumb in a high school all-star game. He had surgery last week to repair his thumb. A full recovery is anticipated and he will be able to fully participate in spring football, according to UGA Director of Sports Medicine Ron Courson.

Defensive end Michael Barnett of Ridgeville, S.C., arrived with a pre-existing right shoulder labral injury which required surgical repair. The surgery was performed this week. A full recovery is anticipated and although he will miss spring football, he will be able to fully participate in the fall, according to Courson.
