UGA baseball right-hander Emerson Hancock discusses starting game one of the three-game weekend series with UMASS in the Bulldogs 5-0 win on Friday night at Foley Field in Athens, GA.
Emerson faced 26 Minutemen batters, striking out 12, and only allowing 3 hits over 7.1 innings of work. He threw a total of 102 pitches on the night. Hancock talked about how he stays focused and dialed in.
“I felt like I was good… I just felt like I settled in more as the game went on,” said Hancock. “You just got to keep doing your job. You got to keep making pitches, execute, and let the defense play behind you.”
